Responsibilities The designated individual will be tasked with supporting the Director of Nursing with the daily management and general operations of the home.Take on full responsibility for helping the Director of Nursing with patient care and housekeeping duties around the clock.Show clinical proficiency in the treatment of those under our care while being aware of current best practices.Participate actively in nurse rounds and oversee the day-to-day operations of the household.Assist qualified nurses with clinical support and guidance while evaluating their competency levels by current best practices.Should the Director of Nursing be absent, the designated individual will take on the responsibilities of the person in charge.After a six-month probationary term, the position is full-time and permanent. RequirementsRegistered with An Bord Altranais is a requirement.A minimum of five years of post-registration experience is required, with two of those years having been spent in management within a residential care context.Be familiar with all applicable laws and the HIQA Standards for Residential Care Settings.
