As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a talented Precast Engineer to join their team!
Job Overview
The Precast Engineer will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of precast concrete systems on a variety of large-scale projects. This role requires a strong understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction methodologies, as well as the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers. The successful candidate will manage all phases of precast engineering from initial concept design through to on-site implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop precast concrete components for various structures including commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
- Provide structural calculations and analysis for precast elements to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and manufacturers to ensure the smooth delivery of precast systems.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Monitor the production and installation of precast components, ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to inspect precast installations and resolve any engineering issues that arise.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
- Utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools for project design and coordination.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in precast engineering or structural design.
- Strong knowledge of precast concrete systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
- Familiarity with building codes and standards relevant to precast concrete.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Project management experience, with a focus on delivering within time and budget constraints.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with international projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and materials.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.

We have an excellent job opportunity for a **Structural Engineer** to join our expanding Structural Engineering team in **Dublin** . The team provides civil & structural design services to various clients within Building Engineering.
The successful candidate will join a team with extensive experience, from our Director to our most recently chartered Engineers. We provide structured training and excellent support, access to our international knowledge-sharing network, and procedures to support your continuing professional development and career progression within AECOM.
**What you'll do?**
+ Delivering structural engineering services on building projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate, and preparing designs
+ Preparing technical specifications
+ Supervising work by Graduate Engineers, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard
+ Directing Technicians to ensure that drawing work is completed, clearly communicating designed solutions
+ Report writing and production of technical reports and documents

**Qualifications**

**Requirements:**
+ BSc/MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent with post graduate design experience with an Engineering consultancy.
+ Building structure design experience using all the main materials on a variety of structural projects
+ Highly motivated Engineer with previous consultancy experience
+ Experience in Eurocodes essential
+ Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc)

AECOM are currently recruiting for a **Principal Structural Engineer** to join our Dublin office.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery and assessment of existing structures.
Some of the areas we specialise in are healthcare, data centres, commercial, hospitality, education and civic sectors, for both public and private clients.
This is a role that will allow you to become involved with future construction projects across Dublin and worldwide locations
**What you'll do!**
**Duties of the Principal Structural Engineer role include;**
+ Effectively control the commercial, managerial and technical aspects of projects or parts for which you are responsible.
+ Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to clients, including resources and programme.
+ Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes
**Requirements;**
+ Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and structural principles.
+ Undertake structural engineering projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate.
+ Supervise work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget
+ Deliver design solutions and assessment calculations, lead teams, and successfully manage projects.
+ Have a solid track record of having worked on various structures projects, possibly as project leader on some, with experience of dealing directly with clients.
**Specific Requirements;**
+ Excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steelwork.
+ Excellent working knowledge of the current Eurocodes and specifically Eurocode 2 & Eurocode 3.
+ Excellent working knowledge of Structural Analysis Software, SCIA, TEKLA or similar software.
+ Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
+ The ability to effectively communicate your message to the team, senior management and represent AECOM professionally to clients and external bodies.

+ Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
+ Chartered Engineer (CEng)
+ Member of either the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).

+ Knowledge and experience of the local Dublin marketplace.
