Oracle ERP Cloud Project Manager
Job Description
You will be:
- Successfully managing the delivery of Version 1’s Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/EPM projects.
- Working with the customer to confirm scope and goals, objectives and business justification and secure resources (people and budget)
- Leading, overseeing the progress of project plans, in-line with time, cost and quality.
- Managing customer expectations, to closely monitor and manage scope creep.
- Managing the agreed scope of the project, ensuring Change Requests are clearly identified, agreed with the customer for sign off prior to work commencing.
- Assisting the customer project manager with monitoring tasks and progress of customer specific activities.
- Controlling and reporting progress to the Steering Group/Sponsor, and internally within Version 1 senior stakeholders and escalating any issues.
- Continually assessing potential risks and issues.
- Monitoring and communication of decisions made by the customer.
- Closely monitoring and reporting on project budget and ownership for P&L targets against your projects.
- Leading an effective communication strategy for the project
- Identifying inter-dependencies between the various stakeholder groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated.
- Ensuring appropriately skilled resources are delivering the project and managing the availability and performance of those consultants.
- Travelling to customer sites as required and permitted.
- Assisting in pre-sales and business development opportunities
You will have experience of:
- Implementing Oracle ERP Cloud projects end to end
- Delivery and implementation working for a consultancy / systems integrator.
- Leading and delivering multiple projects concurrently.
- Project Management experience in delivering complex Oracle Applications projects using Oracle AIM and OUM methods
- Prince 2 or similar
- Microsoft Project
- Fixed price/budget, commercial and customer experience
- Governance (Gate Control, Status Reporting)
- Scope management expertise
- Stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills (written/verbal) across all levels

Our Ireland Roads team is seeking a Deputy Project Manager/Principal Engineer with experience in the Roads Sector to be part of a team working on major national road schemes including major national road schemes including the N/M20 Cork to Limerick Project, Public Transport schemes including Dublin Metrolink, Cork BusConnects and Active Travel schemes for the National Transport Authority and Local Authorities. The successful candidate will lead and help grow a team undertaking preliminary and detailed designs for major national Roads schemes and local authority transport improvements across Ireland
**A little more about your role.**
As Deputy Project Manager your role is primarily focused around delivering the core function of providing the project management support on Major Road schemes, including but not limited to delivery management of individual tasks, analysis and problem solving, preparation of briefing plans / progress reports, programme updates and monitoring and completion of financial administration such as in-month updates, month end reporting, and invoicing.
Other supplementary functions of this role will all be based around supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project. These activities will predominantly be focused on Business / Quality Management System processes and tools and could include contract, change, risk or resource management, earned value analysis, project reviews / audits or lessons learnt analysis.
There will also be an expectation that the deputy Project Manager will be capable of leading a team of project staff and, in doing so, provide professional / technical guidance and coaching to ensure that the appropriate skill / knowledge levels are achieved to drive an continuous improvement in our project management service.
The functions of this role are intended to be broad to provide the opportunity for a candidate to experience a wide range of activities under various skilled professionals in order to encourage their knowledge development and career progression. WSP are looking for a candidate who will take ownership of their own personal development in order to maintain and build professional capabilities, including identifying suitable training and development opportunities and working with a mentor to establish a career development plan.
**What we will be looking for you to demonstrate.**
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in civil engineering or another appropriate subject and be a member of an appropriate professional engineering institution. Experience of working to UK or Ireland Roads standards is essential.
The successful candidate will be capable of working to tight project timescales, work comfortably under pressure and have an open and honest approach. Evidence of good communication and team work skills will be sought.
+ A degree in Civil Engineering
+ Incorporated or Chartered Status (AMICE/MICE/EI or equivalent) or equivalent demonstrable experience
+ Experience in Civil engineering or roads projects.
+ Be able to demonstrate clear and successful project management skills and technical competence in the field of highway engineering
+ Full driver's license
+ Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to push the boundaries of existing knowledge and the ability to take the lead outside of core discipline
+ Proven track record of dealing with Clients and forging effective relationships in a professional and customer focused manner
+ Experience of Contract Preparation and Contract Supervision using NEC forms of contract
+ Mentoring and guiding junior members of staff
+ Good written and oral communication skills are essential

+ Manages vendors, negotiates/defines initial contracts, resolves issues, and provides ongoing communication; tracks deliverables.
+ Participates, where necessary, in requirements gathering/elicitation, design and/or testing phases.
+ Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; implements changes where applicable.
+ Submits CR's (Change Requests) and SML's (System Maintenance Logs) as part of the change management process.
+ Ensures project closure activities are completed, including completion of all tasks, final updates to Schedule, closure of all risks/issues and archival of all documentation.
IT Program and Project Governance (IPPM)
+ Gain familiarity with the IPPM Policies, Standards and Procedures and understand the governance and reporting requirements, including reports that support the AD IT PMO team in their day-to-day review and monitoring activities of AD Tech Project Portfolio.
+ Develops presentations that provide management updates and escalation.
+ Support in collating and reviewing AD IPPM metrics (Key Risk Indicators, Key Performance Indicators, etc.) from different group companies and help in timely submission to AD Tech Management team.
+ Supports/Facilitates Monthly PMO Meetings
+ Assist with PMO & IT Governance initiatives.
+ Mentor Junior Project Managers.
+ Conduct Process Quality Reviews.
**Qualifications and Skills**
+ Formal project management expertise and knowledge of project management methodology/SDLC/PLC processes in IT financial services environments.
+ Proficient working with Jira/Confluence
+ Broad working knowledge of Agile frameworks is preferred: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP and other advanced Agile frameworks (SAFe, DAD, etc.)
+ Experience in managing complex IT processes and projects across multiple business and technical areas
+ Demonstrated working knowledge of end-to-end IT processes
+ Ability to influence people outside the immediate span of control, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and work with business users, IT partners and vendors
+ Strong facilitator who can lead group sessions and is equally comfortable in a collaboration role with business and technical resources at all levels, including senior management
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences
+ Able to work well autonomously and be a complete self-starter
+ Experience working with technology vendors to implement application, infrastructure or security product solutions
+ 5 to 7 years of specialized experience in Financial Services
+ Required BA/BS in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or Management Information System concentration is preferred
+ Licenses /Certifications - PMI certification or the equivalent is advantageous; as well as a certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) is desired
+ Language Skills: Business fluency in English
+ Software Systems / Programming Languages: MS Office, Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, MS Visio, MS Project, Enterprise Resource Management tools, CMMI/ITIL/COBIT is preferred; Agile Methodology / Framework

As a Project Manager you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at every stage of the project lifecycle.
