Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in operating machinery efficiently, ensuring high-quality production, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is eager to expand their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. Your Responsibilities: Machine Operation - Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery to meet output targets. Quality Control - Conduct regular product checks to ensure compliance with company standards. Health & Safety Compliance - Follow all safety protocols and hygiene procedures. Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Identify and resolve minor machine issues, escalating problems when necessary. Efficiency & Productivity - Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily targets. What You Need: Previous experience operating production machinery. Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset. Ability to work in a rotating shift pattern (see below). Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach. In this position, you will help ensure the efficient running of production by operating and maintaining machinery and power tools. Machine Operator responsibilities include setting up machines to start a production cycle, controlling and adjusting machine settings, inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of industrial machines and power tools and is methodical and safety conscious. Responsibilities Setting up machines to start the production cycle Controlling and adjusting machine settings Inspecting parts to specifications Maintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shift Performing routine machine checks and troubleshooting any issues Ensuring that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried Reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery Operating a Selco CNC machine and a variety of different saws such as tiger saw, table saw and crosscut Experience in building a wide range of different wooden shipping crates Assembling and padding wooden shipping crates using hand tools and adhesive Requirements Experience with hands on Power tools (Handguns, hammers), Carpentry, DIY, Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machine-related issues promptly and efficiently. Operating and setting up of CNC equipment including: Milling m/c's, Lathes, Screw-cutting machines and profile grinding equipment
**What you will do:**
+ Operating CNC Machines within a team environment, in line with standard operating procedures.
+ Reading and understanding of dimensions and tolerances on engineering drawings and hence determine machining requirements to successfully manufacture parts.
+ Setting up CNC machines, associated tooling and necessary material for the successful machining of components to engineering drawings.
+ Performing off-set adjustments to keep components within specification while still ensuring machine operates within validated parameters.
+ Trouble shooting of any machine issues and on the fly machine adjustments to maintain production output while still adhering to validated parameters.

+ Initiating process improvements to reduce setup times, cycle times and increase productivity, while positively impacting overall product cost.
