Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Principal Member of Technical Staff you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Candidate
Profile:

  • 15+ years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of C, C++ or Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
  • Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Linux or desire to learn
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.

  • Advise on the development and adoption of Autodesk and AWS technologies, including databases, compute frameworks, CI/CD, and regionalisation strategies
  • Write and speak internally about your work through internal conferences, mentoring, seminars, etc. Travel to at least four international trips per year will be required for internal meetings

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and Software Architecture.
  • 5+ years in a senior architecture role in a SaaS business pursuing a platform strategy
  • Excellent experience in Java, Python, Golang and other programming languages.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture on AWS (Azure or other clouds acceptable), working with managed services such as RDS, Aurora, ECS, and Lambda
  • Drive continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) improvements, with experience in Jenkins, Harness and creating "golden paths" for developers
  • Self-directed with an ability to complete work strategically and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of innovation demonstrated through patents, publications, or conference presentations
  • Experience leading a company's transition from a product-centric model to a platform-centric approach, focusing on scalability and agility
  • Strong background in architecting and building large-scale, highly available, resilient cloud-based solutions
  • Ability to lead teams or initiatives with significant organisational impact and visibility
  • Expertise in developing novel, cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of existing technology
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, influencing diverse stakeholders, and driving results in a dynamic environment. Background in creating scalable solutions that can be integrated into multiple business functions

Barden is proud to partner with a leading global SaaS company in their search for a GenAI Architect. This fully remote role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of our client's solutions using cutting-edge GenAI technologies.

Reporting to the Head of AI, you will design and deliver intelligent, agentic systems that redefine the company's SaaS platform. You'll work closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to turn ambitious GenAI concepts into real-world impact.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on Machine Learning & AI Architecture.
  • Hands-on with the
    latest agentic AI stack
    , leading the design and implementation of GenAI-powered features.
  • Expertise in architecting full-lifecycle LLM solutions, from POC to scalable, production-grade software.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as
    Langsmith, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, Crew AI, Amazon Bedrock
    , or similar.
  • At least
    2–3 productionised Agentic AI projects
    in SaaS or enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AI
    deployment, scalability, and evaluation frameworks
    .
  • Familiarity with AI observability tools like
    Langsmith, Opik, and Arize
    .
  • Knowledge of classical
    NLP techniques
    (NER, parsing, tf-idf, etc.).
