Job Description

Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 7 years of experience in multi-disciplined marketing procurement.
+ 3 years of experience in category strategy development and sourcing within Marketing categories.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree, PhD, or certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Marketing.
+ Experience in executing sourcing strategies, RFx processes, agreements, and supplier evaluations within designated categories, with a track record of achieving cost savings and value creation.
+ Experience leading projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation within the category.
+ Experience analyzing procurement data, generating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
+ Knowledge of agreement drafting, review, and management within the category, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and experience in partnering with Agreement Teams.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Category Management team partners closely with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies. The Category team is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and agreement management.
In this role, you will be responsible for pioneering innovative category and sourcing strategies, cultivating supplier relationships, and optimizing spend categories through data-driven insights to unlock value for Google.
+ Play an integral role in the development of multi-year global category plans and strategies across marketing events, media, and sponsorship sub-categories (e.g., including defining buying channels, supply base profiles, purchasing policies, SRM program, operational efficiencies, etc.).
+ Support alignment of procurement initiatives with stakeholder business objectives through an understanding of business requirements.
+ Participate in cross-functional teams executing category initiatives and help ensure delivery of maximum value across the procurement process.
+ Contribute to the compliance tracking of category specific policies, performance metrics, and analysis of market trends and leading practices.
+ Contribute to global marketing category strategy, working with Product Marketing Managers, Marketing suppliers, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing Operations, Legal, FP&A, Contracting Operations, Commercial Operations, etc.).

Key Focus Areas Co-lead and shape the strategy, scope, and rollout of the SSOT framework. Own core aspects of the project, working hands-on with data integration, dashboard creation, and stakeholder alignment. Provide technical guidance and collaborate closely with team members on analytical solutions Required Skills & Experience 46+ years in Marketing Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related data-focused rolesemphasizing data visualization, reporting, and collaboration. Expert-level Tableau skills: dashboard development, automation, and advanced visualizations. Strong SQL capabilities: extraction, transformation (dbt), complex queriesespecially in Snowflake or equivalent. Hands-on experience with data consolidation and integration across multiple systems.
