DBFL are seeking enthusiastic Structural Engineers with experience to join our dynamic Team. With an expanding workload across a variety of sectors, we can offer the successful candidates broad experience across a wide range of public and private sector projects.

The successful candidates will become members of highly experienced teams who support the growth and development of talented engineers. The successful candidates will be involved in the design of structures, working on the preparation and review of structural analysis and design calculations, assisting with the preparation of drawings for conceptual and detailed design, as well as undertaking regular site visits to ensure construction is executed in compliance with the design. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of the fundamentals of structural analysis and should be familiar with Eurocodes.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

The successful candidates will also have a requirement to liaise with the internal project team, the wider design team and contractors and should therefore have good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team dynamic. Requirements and Skills:

  • A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principals.
  • Demonstrable buildings-focused structural engineering design skills.
  • A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidiscipline environment.
  • Performing site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Ability to understand commercial implications of design decisions and desire to strive for efficient structural solutions.
  • IT skills and experience in the use of MS Office. Experience in CAD and structural analysis software is an added advantage.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, through sketching, speaking and in writing.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.

Desired Qualifications And Requirements

  • At least 3 to 6 years structural engineering experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum Level 8 Civil / Structural Engineering Degree (Hons) and working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland
  • Customer-focused with growing client relationship management skills
  • Ability to mentor junior staff in developing their own technical expertise.
  • Display leadership qualities and a desire to develop client relationships.
  • A current driver’s licence is desirable.

Our AWS ICT Design and Engineering Team is a new fast-growing and leading-edge engineering team that is rethinking the design for the critical communications pathways that connect the various pieces of hardware inside AWS' data centers. Basic Qualifications

- BICSI RCDD ( Registered Communications Distribution Designer ) Certification
- 5+ years Information and Communications Technology (ICT) design experience in Mission Critical Environments

JO- NEW ROLE : Electrical Design Engineer Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing company based in Dundalk, is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of electrical control panel solutions for automation systems used across a wide range of industries. Please note - applicants need to have a Stamp 4 or to have unrestricted full working rights for Ireland Full clean drivers licence required Role Develop 2D & 3D electrical designs for complex automation projects. Detail electrical schematics and processes for build. Generation of budget and detailed quotations for panels and installations. Source electrical components for designs. Create test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs. Assisting in electrical debug of systems. Liaise with customers & suppliers. Meet project delivery deadlines. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Ability to take ownership of projects Requirements Third level qualification in Electrical , Electronic, Computer Science Or a qualified electrician with 3+ years relevant industrial design experience. Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, invertors, general panel equipment, drives and pneumatics. Experience of using software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical an advantage Knowledge & understanding of PLC programming and controls methodologies. Knowledge of Robotics, automation principles, and safety standards an advantage Ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills Exceptional problem-solving skills Full clean drivers licence. #LI-DM1 Benefits: Paid Holidays Pension
