Ashton Recruitment require a Help Desk Administrator (Work Admin)our client based in Belfast. Position: Help Desk Administrator (Work Admin) Location: East Belfast Duration: Temporary - Permanent Pay Rate: £26,000 per year Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08:00-17:00 Duties will include: Act as the first point of contact for staff queries, requests, or reported issues. Log and track all incoming requests in the help desk system or spreadsheet. Prioritise and assign tasks to the relevant team members or departments. Monitor progress of open tasks and follow up to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate records of requests, resolutions, and communications. Prepare daily/weekly reports on volumes, response times, and outstanding issues. Update and maintain office procedures or help desk guides. Assist with scheduling repairs, services, or maintenance work. Order and manage stock of office supplies or consumables for the team. Communicate updates to staff about the status of their requests. Escalate unresolved or urgent issues to management. Support general office admin such as filing, document preparation, and data entry. Essential Criteria: Experience in administrative or customer service roles - ideally in an office, facilities, or help desk setting. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with databases or ticketing systems. Strong organisational skills - able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with a polite and professional manner. Attention to detail - accurate record-keeping and error-free data entry. Problem-solving ability - can use initiative to resolve issues or know when to escalate. Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member. Confidentiality - able to handle sensitive information appropriately. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and usability of the ServiceNow platform. This role supports day-to-day platform operations, manages incident resolution, oversees routine maintenance, and contributes to the delivery of new features and enhancements through configuration and release activities. Key Responsibilities of the role: Ensure platform stability, performance, and usability in collaboration with developers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Perform routine application maintenance, including system performance monitoring and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal operation. Lead planning and execution activities related to platform upgrades and patching. Administer instance-level security, including management of users, groups, roles, and Access Control Lists (ACLs). Support configuration and customization tasks to meet evolving business requirements while adhering to best practices and governance models. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support integrations, improvements, and platform enhancements. YOUR PROFILE Demonstrated experience in developing ServiceNow components including catalogue items, business rules, client scripts, and other custom development tasks. Proven ability to maintain and manage the ServiceNow CMDB and lead technical delivery within the ITSM module. Experience in SLA definition and development Proficient in generating reports, dashboards, and utilizing Performance Analytics for data-driven insights.
