Create a Group wide standardized way of working for Electrical Engineering taking into account the specific requirements in local code and industry norms 4. Ensure the integration of key considerations such as digitally enabled lean design DeLPD, sector specific approaches and our design office locations. 5. Business transformation projects are an investment cost (i.e. unsold) and their own time is managed by the Technical Director. 1.3 Governance of Design Delivery 1. Support / input to key Sales Proposals as requested by the Director of Engineering. 2. Work with the Director of Engineering to establish a 'watch list' of key projects based on the extent of design challenge and technical integrity risk. 3. Influence the early stages of design on key projects. 4. Chair Single Discipline Design Reviews (SDDRs) on key projects. 5. Review Project Basis of Safety documents as required by the Director of Engineering. 6. Input to end of Concept / BoD 'go, no go' reviews for high risk challenging projects. 1.4 Troubleshooting 1. Be a 'first responder' for critical issues regarding Electrcial Engineering design across the Group. 2. Meet with senior members of both our own and the customer's team. 3. Agree corrective actions / way forward. 4. Act as Technical Sponsor for the corrective actions. 5. Keep PM Group management updated on correction action progress. + Manage, coordinate, and/or monitor Heavy Duty Gas site activities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to support our data center retrofit programs that modernize and improve our extensive data center fleet. The Sr. TPM will lead cross functional and technical teams to drive projects from concept to requirements definition, feasibility assessments, designs, implementation, testing, and deployment. Additionally, the Sr. TPM will lead initiatives associated with the global Fleet Remediation Engineering portfolio, developing or enhancing systems, tools, & mechanisms to streamline project delivery. Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess 7-10+ years of experience in tactical project management of highly technical engineering initiatives, as well as strategic program management. Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments, R&D projects, and understanding of SQL data bases is a plus. A Bachelor's Degree or additional technical experience is required. Candidates possessing a background in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, data center infrastructure/operations, and/or construction, who have transitioned to a program management discipline will have a distinct advantage.
Candidate must be comfortable managing conceptual development efforts, remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project or initiative implementation issues, and remove barriers to project or initiative success. Being able to evaluate project or initiative feasibility, create cross-functional matrix-based teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, eliminate non-value-add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project or initiative delivery is a must.
The TPM will be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.
Other requirements include proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint. Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Procore, SQL, Smartsheet, and systems integration a plus.
A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, development, finance, integration, and operation of these complex capital improvement programs and affiliated systems. You prioritize your activities to support and understand the projects' status, solve problems and blockers, and focus on the actions that are most impactful for program success. You will also interface with the data engineers and business intelligence engineers to deep dive the data infrastructure (data tables, data pipelines, data sources, etc.) and lead initiatives that impact the global Fleet Remediation Engineering portfolio.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Permitting Strategy Manager to join its Data Centre design team in Dublin, Ireland.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify all planning permissions and permits associated with the design, construction, and operation of datacenters in existing and new jurisdictions and prepare permitting strategy for new sites.
- Coordinate between internal and external project development teams to develop a permitting plan and manage the execution of that plan, ensuring all partner teams are performing required actions at the appropriate time.
- Engage and partner with Authorities having Jurisdictions (AHJs) to identify opportunities to expedite permitting timelines.
- Be responsible for introducing new projects to the local jurisdiction and participating in any local meetings and hearings relating to these projects
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the permitting process or permitting timelines
- Supporting the Design Manager, engage and manage the work of permitting consultants and specialists.
- Manage active condition discharge and communicate active & passive permit conditions to operations at handover.
- Complete after-action reviews and identify opportunities for process improvement.

As a Town Planner / Permit Manager you will be part of a global engineering leadership team, comprised of highly effective Architects, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Engineers delivering capacity projects across the Europe, Middle East & Africa geography.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or Town Planning;
- 7+ years project or program management experience;
- Technical knowledge and 7+ years experience of the legal and regulatory requirements for projects at all stages of the permitting process;
- Experience of working on and master planning major site development mission critical industrial or data centre projects.
Preferred Qualifications
These additional qualifications and experience will help the candidate be successful in the role:
- Project Management Certification;
- Vendor and consultant management skills;
- Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and high quality standards.
