Overview

The Enterprise and Risk Compliance Technology team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer, to lead and manage our the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) area by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the internal partners experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role

In This Role, You Will:

  • Partner with internal business partners in gathering, mapping business requirements, designing, provide technical guidance in delivering the solutions and the upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, solve problems and provide support to end users.
  • Take responsibility for driving the maturation of the platform
  • Liaison between business partners and vendor professional services - ensuring the team is maturing to next level at every instance
  • Should have the strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and deep understanding of best development standards
  • Be able to understand and demonstrate deep knowledge of GRC platforms
  • Provide guidance to the team ensuring the business deliverables are met on time
  • Engage with cross functional teams for designing and delivering new solutions & integrations
  • Drive efficiencies by identifying areas for improvements - like automation and process improvements
  • Identify impediments upfront and provide solutions to mitigate the delivery risk
  • Strong communication skills and able to articulate complex scenarios to stakeholders
  • Able to work with teams across geographies building rapport and bonding


All About You

  • Familiarity with integrating enterprise data into data lakes, ensuring scalable data ingestion, storage, and governance practices
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation within enterprise systems
  • Proven experience in integrating complex systems and applications across cloud and on-premises environments, including APIs, middleware, and third-party platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced programming experience in HTML, XML, JSP, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – ability to engage with business & technical stakeholders and engineering senior leaders
  • Strong delivery experience working with teams of skilled developers and cross-functional teams, while identifying and removing impediments to ensure team success
  • Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities – both technical and process-oriented
  • Skilled in guiding senior software engineers in resolving complex technical problems

Minimum Qualifications

Our client is a public health and social care service. The Three Ireland Technical lead serves as the primary subject matter expert for our client's configuration, overseeing the management, deployment, and support of mobile devices and associated applications. This role will be based on the client site in Cork, 5 days a week. This role will lead technical relations for a diverse mobile device portfolio including Smartphones, Tablets, Fixed Wireless Access, IOT and Mobile Broadband devices ensuring seamless integration with corporate platforms and applications. What else it involves: Own and drive the mobile technology strategy, ensuring its technically robust while delivering measurable business value for our client. Manage and evolve the device portfolio (Smartphones, FWA, MBB and IOT) shaping and executing the mobile product roadmap with a balance of technical depth and commercial priorities in line with our client. Act as the primary technical escalation point, providing leadership and expertise on complex issues and major incidents. Lead root cause analysis and incident resolution ensuring minimal disruption and continues service improvement Provide Tier 3 Technical support, Guiding dedicated end-user support with advanced troubleshooting and solutions Define and track KPIs that measure both technical performance and business impact, adjusting strategy and execution to optimise outcomes. Oversee Testing, Staging and development of new devices for our client in partnerships with the Three Ireland Device Engineering Team Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, technical documentations and training resources and deliver training to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Actively contribute to service and operations review meetings, presenting technical insights and commercial recommendations Design and implement policies and procedures that strengthen the mobile environment while supporting our client's business goals. Leverage your technical expertise to improve operational efficiency and service quality, always balancing innovation with cost-effectiveness Provide training, mentorship, and capability development for the framework client team. Support product lifecycle execution, ensuring cross-functional alignment. Provide validation of new Device Software and Hardware to ensure it's within the client's framework. You will be required to travel to Three Ireland offices in Dublin and in Limerick once per month to liaise with colleagues in both locations.
