We are looking to recruit a Planning & Environmental Consultant to work on large scale and strategic developments for our multinational clients in Ireland and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with significant experience of planning and permitting to work on large scale projects. You will enjoy working on multiple large-scale projects in the Irish and international markets across a number of sectors. The successful candidate can work from either of our Irish operational Business Units in Dublin or Cork. Responsibilities We are very interested in hearing from all candidates who are passionate professionals with the following experience: Involvement in the preparation and management of development consents, compliance and planning strategy for large scale projects Participation in design process for layout, master planning and input or coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) Management of the interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams, clients and stakeholders Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanla (An Coimisin Pleanla) and other statutory bodies as required Experience with engagement with environmental permitting including EPA Licence application process and/or the waste facility licencing process would be beneficial If you have many but not all of the above experience we would like to hear from you as you will be supported by an excellent team of professionals in this role. Qualifications A minimum qualification Level 8 or Level 9 NEQ qualification (or equivalent) in Planning & Sustainable Development or related Environmental Science/Engineering discipline. Chartered planner (IPI, RTPI or equivalent) or working towards chartership Relevant experience in the area of planning and environmental management / consultancy. Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice. Project Management skills with attentiveness to critical dates and adherence to deadlines Clear and confident verbal & written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of report preparation (MS Word) and use of MS Excel. Proven track record of working on your own initiative. This is more than a support role-you'll be a key partner and co-lead, shaping the direction of the SSOT initiative. Your expertise in Tableau, SQL, and data engineering will be essential in building scalable, efficient, and insightful reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of the SSOT framework, applying data engineering principles to ensure scalability and accuracy. Consolidate and integrate data from multiple marketing systems into unified datasets using best-in-class data practices. Write and optimise advanced SQL queries (including dbt) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, with a focus on performance and efficiency. Design and build automated, interactive Tableau dashboards that enhance data accessibility and visual storytelling. Collaborate with the SSOT development team on technical planning, implementation, and decision-making. Own and execute tasks on the SSOT roadmap, including data workflows and scorecard development. Develop standardised performance scorecards based on defined templates to ensure consistency and usability. Proactively identify and resolve data issues using structured, process-oriented approaches. Contribute to documentation and best practices for Tableau, SQL, and SSOT methodologies. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, sharing insights and collaborating on solutions. Required Skills & Experience: 4-6+ years in Marketing Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role with a strong emphasis on data visualisation and engineering. Expert-level Tableau skills for dashboard development, automation, and complex visualisations. Advanced SQL proficiency, including experience with dbt and Snowflake. Proven ability to consolidate and integrate data from multiple sources using sound data management principles. Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, ETL processes, and project management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
