**Team / Role Overview**
This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a team of AML subject matter experts to provide the highest standard of client service to clients based in multiple jurisdictions. Daily tasks include the management of team deliverables, ensuring allocation of tasks and acting as a point of escalation within the team. The AML and registration team collaborates daily with teams across the Transfer Agency Department and so provides an opportunity to develop broader knowledge.
**What you will do**
+ Manage a team of AML and Registration subject matter experts in a busy deadline driven operational environment; monitor resourcing and ensure effective allocation of tasks
+ Manage the daily volumes of investor account opening, static data changes, periodic reviews and queries from internal stakeholders and clients
+ Assist the AML manager in the review of changes to AML regulations and in implementing policies and practices that ensure compliance
+ Coordinate training of the team and track progress on the skills matrix
+ Oversee and implement effective AML reviews ensuring they align with strategic goals and objectives regarding products and services, organizational structures and existing capabilities
+ Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and outsourced service providers; manage due diligence visits from clients and fund MLROs
+ Contribute as an AML SME to departmental initiatives driven by client request and/or process efficiency
+ Conduct 1 to 1 meetings on a monthly basis at a minimum to ensure effective communication and encourage engagement
**What we will need from you**
+ Experience in AML, preferably in a Transfer Agency role
+ Experience managing a team
+ Detailed knowledge of Ireland and EUR AML legislation with knowledge of Luxembourg AML legislation will be an advantage
+ Experience of managing client relationships and discussions with management companies/ fund MLROs
+ Effective communication and analytical skills

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Private Equity, Fund/Client Accounting Manager to join our Private Equity team. This role is located in Dublin, Ireland and will be working in a hybrid capacity.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Oversees multiple small teams or one large team of Accountants responsible for conducting accounting services on behalf of assigned clients, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
- Ensure that your respective teams are operating efficiently, coordinates client deliverables, and ensures timely delivery.
- Oversees multiple teams in determining the net asset value (NAV) for assigned funds for each measurement cycle - You will be involved in the review of their allocated funds.
- Involved in the review of capital call and distribution calculations and notices. You will ensure that these are calculated in line with the underlying fund documentation.
- Builds relationships with assigned clients and resolves any escalated issues related to fund calculations and accounting.
- Provides guidance to teams to ensure that accounting records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Resolves escalated issues from team members.
- You will support new fund launches by joining client calls, reviewing fund documentation, and ensuring appropriate system setups.
- Evaluates GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY fund accounting practices. Provides guidance to teams on the implementation of new policies to follow regulations.
- Recruits, guides, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Leads working relationships with auditors and clients to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately depict fund performance. Involved in projects at both a global and client level. Ensures project deliverables are completed in a timely manner and any testing required is completed
- Identifying any areas of efficiency in the NAV process and ensuring tasks are automated where possible
- Contributes to the achievement of team objectives
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Professional designation (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CFA) preferred
- Experience in private equity and fund or client accounting
- Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems including Investran and Geneva
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging work environment
- Knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
- People management experience required
