**Position Brand Description:**
The Lilly Scientist - API/Dry Product Network is rapidly expanding to meet the demand for new products, and several new greenfield sites are under construction and will be starting up in the coming years. The new sites are staffed based on full-scale, steady state production, however additional surge capacity is needed to support the site start-up and help quickly ramp to full capacity rates.
The Scientist - ADN RAMP (Rapid Access to Medicines for Patients) team is a cross-functional team that will bring deep manufacturing expertise and will support each site start-up through Operational Excellence knowledge, rapid troubleshooting and problem-solving capability, and surge capacity resources. This unique opportunity will enable team members to work at our new sites, create a larger Lilly network, build and use their technical skills, and learn leadership skills through formal training and on-the-ground experiences. This team will also build strategies to help other new Lilly sites to start up faster, helping to accelerate Lilly's vision of serving more patients.
Success in this challenging role will require supporting the sites through startup, through direct technical execution, coaching next employees, and strong collaboration - and development of the local technical and operational teams to be ready for full operation.
The team will directly report through their respective functions but will be coordinated by the Ramp Team Sr. Director.
**Key Objectives/Deliverables** **:**
Responsible for support of site star-up within TSMS through documentation preparation and review; monitoring of the processes through start-up/validation and on-going manufacture and establishing strong deviation investigation support and technical writing, as follows:
+ Work with the Process Teams in support of start-up of processes - providing hands-on support of documentation preparation, review and approval.
+ Understand the electronic batch record, process flow document (PFD) and validation of the process of process/product being supported. Ensure the PFD accurately describes the process, control strategy, process parameters, CQAs and references to supporting material.
+ Engage regularly with Molecule Steward to ensure all TSMS documentation is accurate and reflective of new facility.
+ Where necessary, understand the historic and potential failure modes of the process as part of the Process Team support.
+ Have access to development history of the product and process and manufacturing history which has increased knowledge of operational control strategy. This will allow better support of deviations.
+ Be very familiar with site quality systems; change control, deviation reporting, annual product reviews, stability, homogeneity etc. Complete appropriate training to ensure access to all relevant quality management systems required to fulfil your role.
+ Support where necessary the Process Team on the key quality and operational parameters of the process as determined in the Process Monitoring Plan.
+ Have expertise in root cause analysis to lead team in troubleshooting efforts. Utilize root cause analysis techniques to investigate process issues and deliver robust and sustainable corrective and preventative actions.
+ Utilize experience in technical writing to document robust and effective deviations post root cause analysis and work with Process Team members to coach and train on effective Technical Writing.
+ Ensure the process remains in a validated state by monitoring the process during the campaign and documenting a review of the process in campaign reports, CPV, APR. Execute and document revalidation when appropriate.
+ Lead or contribute to PHRs and Risk Assessments ( _e.g._ FMEA), identifying actions/countermeasures, tracking actions/countermeasures.
+ Act as a mentor/coach to TSMS representatives and other technical support staff.

+ BSc Chemistry, Biochemistry or related science field with 3-5years' experiencein pharmaceuticalmanufacturing.
+ MScChemistry, Biochemistryor science-related field with 3+ years' experience in pharmaceutical drug substance manufacturing support.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$64,500 - $167,200

Your day- to-day activities will include:

- Lead the quality group in a fast-paced production environment
- Customer liaison for quality escalations and daily quality issues ensuring measured, developed and timely responses to the customer.
- Support the change management process and Customer requests as appropriate.
- High level of competence using relevant corrective action systems (e.g CAPA)
- Create concise and accurate technical reports, communicate results and manage subsequent analysis queries
- Continually seek to drive improvements in product and process quality.
- Create and evaluate metrics to drive the quality improvement processes.
- Own, Maintain and report timely and accurate KPI's
- Manage and maintain the NCMR database and report weekly to the customer.
- Using appropriate statistical techniques to monitor process performance (e.g.SPC, Minitab, Ppk, Gage R & R analysis, sampling techniques).
- Provide quality engineering support to the facility, including validation and risk management and review of technical documentation (eg. FMEA's, control plans).
- Apply project management skills and methodology as necessary for key CI projects.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
What do we expect from you?
Strong knowledge of quality tools, ISO / QMS standards and processes (ISO 9001, ISO13485)
Knowledge of data analysis and presentation software and its uses in generating reports, capturing data and presenting data in an understandable format.
Strong knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and materials properties
Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing environment and how decisions impact customer satisfaction product quality, on-time delivery and profitability of the unit
Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
Knowledge of Six sigma and Lean Kaizen.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers to summarize complex technical issues
Knowledge of Med-tech and regulatory requirements (such as FDA and MDR) is a requirement of the role with
pharma & medical device systems an advantage
Ability to effectively lead and manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate multiple, changing deadlines while also working effectively on their own and in a team environment.
Ability to be an Internal Auditor

As a member of Global Leader Services, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting people leaders through personalized coaching and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
This position will be primarily focused on driving strategic initiatives through effective communication and adaptability. Provide operational and tactical HR functions, including employee relations, policy administration, compliance, and talent management. Provide HR support at the site or regional level and serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders. Provide agile project support to adapt to changing needs.
**Program Deployment & Process Improvement**
+ Oversee the deployment of key Medtronic HR programs and HROM initiatives, ensuring they're implemented effectively and efficiently.
+ Proactively provide input on process improvements to help drive better outcomes.
+ Utilize strong business acumen and problem-solving skills to support people leaders in deploying HR programs.
+ Build authentic relationships and demonstrate functional and technical HR expertise.
+ Contribute to change initiatives and communicate a strong vision aligned with business strategy.
+ Adopt a business-first mindset, embracing Medtronic's Roadmap and HR priorities.
+ Provide tailored strategic advice based on a deep understanding of business needs.
+ Support talent plans to attract, develop, and retain talent.
**Coaching & Guidance**
+ Coach people managers through the HR processes, helping them navigate complex situations and implement the right strategies to support their teams.
+ Use empathy and emotional intelligence to provide precise, holistic guidance.
+ Coach people managers on culture strategies to drive inclusion, diversity, equity, and engagement.
+ Provide consulting to build a culture of performance through empathetic coaching.
+ Coach people managers on talent decisions to accelerate talent potential using technology-focused solutions.
+ Demonstrate inclusive behaviors and support initiatives to enhance inclusion and engagement.
**Employee Relations Support**
+ Partner with ELR or ER Ops to support non-complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent handling.
**Workday Job Description:**
+ Provides centralized human resource administration and support across a variety of processes and programs including Global Rewards, Global Talent & Leadership Development, Global HR Operations and Employee Relations.
+ Collaborates across the Human Resources function to establish operational standards and procedures that are leveraged to respond to employee and manager questions, ensures transactions are processed accurately and human resource programs and processes are administered effectively and efficiently.
+ Leads & participates in internal and cross-functional initiatives related to continuous process and quality improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
+ Identifies customer-impacting issues and implement solutions and process improvements to increase customer experiences.
+ Ensures streamlined human processes, workflows, metrics, and system optimization.
+ Helps to define requirements for systems that will facilitate increased efficiencies, automation and/or self-service for various HR processes.
+ May also create test plans, lead testing cycles, and configure systems.
+ Provides segmented professional support to VPs and managers or employees during moments that matters with the ability to emphasize with the customer and apply discretion where needed in interactions with customers.

**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
Requires 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree or 12+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proven expertise in providing HR functional support within a manufacturing environment.
+ Broad HR knowledge across multiple disciplines (e.g., employee relations, talent development, compensation, and organizational design).
+ Proven experience in coaching and supporting people managers.
+ Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to build trusting relationships and influence leaders.
+ Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
