Catering Assistants - Healthcare (Monaghan) The Noel Group is proud to announce our appointment as a member of the HSE Tier 2 supplier panel, supporting healthcare facilities across Ireland. We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Catering Assistants to join our growing team of relief staff working in the public healthcare sector. These positions are temporary part-time, working 3-4 days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Responsibilities: You will be required to work as part of a team and take instruction. You will have the required ability to work in kitchens or at ward level. You will be required to assist in delivering meals to patients. You will be required to clean in all areas of the hospital. Requirements: Previous experience working as a catering assistant or cleaner. Manual Handling & HACCP Level 2 training will be required, and can be supplied at registration. Visa or GNIB (if applicable) International Police Clearance (if lived abroad 6+ months) Be available to work part time or full time hours, which may include days, evenings & weekends. Participate with engineering, maintenance, production, and quality, in the technical solutions of production line problems. Lead cross function problem solving groups (operators, supervisors, maintenance, management, etc) where relevant. Liaise with suppliers or contractors for small process modifications and propose capital projects for large scale modifications. This may involve the writing of the design specification/concept drawings, participating in the start-up and commissioning, follow the progress and implementation of these projects. Maintain & formalise production documentation: technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), for the existing process and introduce same for new process changes etc. Manage and coordinate planned training when necessary to ensure a good understanding and operation of the production process & equipment for current and new employees. Create and Maintain H&S / Process, Risk assessments for the entire plant plus coordinate and manage all actions from these assessments. Promote company standards based on Lean Manufacturing Principals through the use of, not only 5S, SMED and other WCM tools (PDCA, SPC, FMECA, DOE, FTA), but also through good housekeeping, building and equipment appearance & maintenance. Define, Manage & Validate cost saving projects. Develop and participate in Continuous Improvement Projects that improves the efficiency of the production process and other operations within the plant inc. H&S. Develop and maintain production information and performance measurement (KPIs) communication boards. Liaise & Support the R&D Engineer.
