**Summary of Role:**
+ Sampling, approval and release incoming good, packaging materials and product (where required) for use in production.
+ Request Certificates of Analysis / Conformance for incoming goods, packaging materials and product for use in production.
+ Review and Filing of acetates for use in sampling.
+ Identify training needs and conduct staff training as required.
+ Maintenance of sampling documentation and retain samples in archive.
+ Management of the Supplier/Customer Defect (SCD) system.
+ Issue the SCD numbers, coordination of completion of the SCDs with the customer/supplier and close out of the SCD.
+ To liaise with customers/supplier for artwork related queries and management of approval of artwork.
+ Review and approval of Master Packaging Material Specifications.
+ Ensure excellence in Housekeeping.

This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The work includes designing, building and deploying high availability, robust, resilient and supportable products while streamline and automate our software delivery and infrastructure operations in a large-scale SaaS environment. With a focus on the infrastructure and operational elements of designing and deploying large scale solutions, the SRE must ensure the infrastructure is highly available, have sufficient capacity in place and are fully resilient across multiple data centers and cloud architectures.
This role works as part of an operations team to design, deploy and support 24x7x365 operations with day-to-day responsibilities that include:
* Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Groovy & bash.
* Create and manage our pipelines, CI/CD infrastructure and automations jobs in Jenkins.
* Manage Development/QA/Production environments with Terraform.
* Integrate, create and maintain monitoring for various flows and components of the system to ensure systems' reliability and observability.
* Occasional off-shift availability to resolve Production issues.
* Work closely with other members of the SRE and R&D teams.
* Responsible for system performance and reliability.
* Ensure proactive engagement in Incident Management process, working with Operational teams to minimize the impact of database outages.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* 3+ years' experience as SRE
* 3+ years' experience in scripting and automation using Python or similar language
* Experience in Cloud-related environment - AWS preferred
* Experience in CICD tools like Jenkins
* Experience with IaC and configuration management tools like Terraform and Ansible
* Experience with docker-based environments and Kubernetes orchestration (GitOps and ArgoCD are an advantage)
* Experience working in production environments requiring 99.99% availability
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with technical, non-technical employees and vendors.
* Strong problem solving, testing, and network troubleshooting skills.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Your role and responsibilities**
Customer Engagement
* Central point maintaining strong customer relationships and advocates for customers within the organization/IBM.
* Surfaces customer organization structure to identify decision makers leveraging partners, BPS and BSS.
* Ensures continuity of customer accounts and monitors customer satisfaction metrics by proactively establishing conditions of satisfaction at outset of engagement and managing escalation process.
Account Management
* To listen and learn about the customer's priorities and challenges and to consult on how IBM solve those challenges.
* Thinks strategically about sales territory for accounts, setting standards and priorities, outlining where to and how to leverage specialized and technical resources and other roles, engaging internal and external decision makers on long-term business planning.
* Helps existing/new customers via a cohesive plan across adds, consumption, through upsell, co-sell motions, and renewal maximizing customer business outcomes and experience.
* Understands and accelerates customer's cloud strategy.
Maintain Product, Solution and Industry Expertise
* Proactively builds and maintains a strong knowledge of IBM's product landscape, solutions, and strategy in the industry of assigned accounts, as well as of the business priorities; demonstrates a strong understanding of the customers' business strategy and the direction of the industry.
Orchestration
* Orchestrates specialized resources to engage with customers to provide strong solutions-based and technology-based engagement to help customers address their challenges and opportunities.
* Leverages additional resources such as partners to engage with the customer to provide the right solution to the customer on their transformation journey.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Sales and negotiation experience with year-over-year growth OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field.
* Sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience with year-over-year growth OR Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) AND sales and negotiation experience or related work OR equivalent experience.

Reporting to the VP, Global R&D of embecta, the Vice President, Strategic Innovation will serve as a key member of the Global R&D leadership team, responsible for shaping the future of embecta's product innovation strategy. This role will lead the creation and execution of a high-impact R&D function focused on the development of next-generation drug delivery systems such as Pen Injectors and Auto Injectors.
The individual must thrive on applying innovative scientific problem-solving skills to product development, and work in an interactive and collaborative development environment where overcoming technical challenges is routine.
The Vice President, Advanced Design and Engineering must possess a complete understanding of a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the fields of Medical Device Product Development.
As a senior member of the Global R&D organization, an externally facing presence interfacing with the leaders in the diabetes industry is also expected.
**_RESPONSIBILITIES:_**
+ Establish and lead a new world-class Advanced Design and Engineering organization, to drive internal or external development of new products such as pen injectors and auto injectors.
+ Evaluate and understand the current market landscape of pen injectors and auto injectors, their strengths and weaknesses and associated opportunities for embecta.
+ Ensure design excellence by embedding a design for high volume Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles into all product development efforts.
+ Follows design, quality, and safety guidelines based on GMP, FDA, and ISO guidelines and related embecta Quality and Safety Standards and Practices.
+ Leads and motivates a lean, high performing team in the development of new products that increase revenue for embecta with a short payback period and quick launch windows.
+ Foster a high-performance culture, attracting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent across global locations, include close collaboration with the Engineering Group in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland.
**_EXPERIENCE &_** **_EDUCATION:_**
+ Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, advance degree in a complementary subject (such as Business) is preferred.
+ Minimum of 15 years of experience in hardware-related products, preferably in the medical device industry. Knowledge of molding, manufacturing processes, PFMEAs preferred.
+ Demonstrated success in developing products or applications. Experienced in developing devices for consumer, industrial, and medical applications.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, global teams and deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
**_KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND_** **_ABILITIES:_**
Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following areas:
+ Fluid delivery using mechanical only designs
+ Ergonomics of devices such as pen injectors
+ Working with external partners to ensure our products meet their needs
+ Cost efficient designs and sourcing
+ Exceptional communication and executive presence
+ Strong inter-personal skills, especially in a team environment.
+ Self-directed, results-oriented and highly organized.
