Clerical Officer Communications & Administration (Temporary - Immediate Start) Location: Dublin 24, Belgard Square North Contract: 46 Months A leading government body is seeking an experienced Clerical Officer to join its Directorate of Communications, Strategy, and Governance on an immediate start basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to combine strong administrative expertise with communications support across areas such as HR, Corporate Services, Research & Policy, and Governance. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, assist with communications activities, and work closely with the Director on a variety of strategic and operational projects. Whats on Offer: Salary: €17.05/hour - 35 hour week Immediate start with a 46 month contract. Opportunity to contribute to the work of a respected government body. Exposure to a wide range of responsibilities across communications, HR, governance, and policy. Supportive, collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple functions. Organise and manage meetings, including booking rooms, preparing materials, and taking minutes when required. Draft correspondence and prepare professional presentations in PowerPoint. Manage internal and external communications (phone, email, letters) with professionalism and discretion. Support business planning, reporting, governance, and process improvement initiatives. Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures at all times. Undertake additional duties as required. Essential Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience in a busy, high-pressure administrative role, ideally within a statutory or regulated environment. Leaving Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Confident communicator, comfortable making calls and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Proactive, solution-focused, and capable of working independently. Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
