Senior Analytics Engineers at Seeq serve as trusted technical advisors to our customers, helping them solve complex process challenges and maximize value from our software. You'll work directly with end users to design scalable, high-impact analytics solutions that drive engagement, adoption, and tangible business outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a key customer-facing team member, you will participate in the following activities:
Customer Technical Adoption
- Serve as the customer's trusted technical advisor by building relationships with champions and end-users through solution design, implementation guidance, and technical mentorship.
- Leverage customer relationships to perform constant discovery and uncover high-value, high-impact use case opportunities directly linked to the customer's critical business workflows and objectives.
- Collaborate with the customer and account team to develop and execute strategic plans for adoption of Seeq and completion of key use cases addressing business objectives.
- Advise customer champions and end-users to implement and operationalize the use cases to deliver a high return on investment for the customer.
- Upskill Seeq's partner ecosystem to be an extension of the Analytics Engineering team to provide support globally and in localized languages.
Product Expertise
- Be a product expert, maintaining knowledge of how to implement and troubleshoot solutions in the platform, including integrations with other systems.
- Identify gaps in Seeq's capabilities required to meet customer needs and give feedback to the product organization to influence the product roadmap.
- Work with the product team to design, implement, and test new functionalities that meet customer needs.
Industry Expertise
- Build trust with customers through the application of industry-specific knowledge and awareness, including market and use case trends specific to their area.
- Collaborate with internal teams (including industry principals, product marketing, and solution consulting) to influence industry-specific strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical field such as chemical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; degrees in operations research, data analytics, or applied math will be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, reliability engineering, technical pre-sales engineering (SaaS business, OT space preferred), or other related industry fields.
- Deep technical expertise in one or more industrial process manufacturing verticals and a sound understanding of broad market drivers and business priorities.
- Examples of industrial process industries are oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power & utilities, metals & mining, food & beverage, pulp & paper, etc.
- Empathy with and experience in the difficulties involved in trying to solve real-world business and industrial challenges involving dense time-series process data with inadequate or overly complex analytics tools, such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, BI tools, or otherwise.
- Responsive and adept at building trust and rapport with customers, prospective customers, partners, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective and influential technical communicator. Enjoys dissecting, articulating, and translating a combination of customer-stated and customer-implied needs. Able to communicate with subject matter experts, managers, directors, and C-level audiences.
- Creative ability to develop and propose technical solutions leveraging the latest features and capabilities in the software and broader technology landscape. Programming experience in Python and/or other programming languages is a plus.
- Ability to independently prioritize work based on account team strategy, customer business needs, and Seeq company objectives.
- Prior experience using Seeq is highly preferred.
- Python programming skills is a plus.
- Broad knowledge of the SaaS industrial analytics ecosystem is a plus (e.g., Azure, AWS, Databricks, AVEVA, Aspen Tech, IOTA, Cognite, , Palantir, etc.).

- Implement and optimize data models to support analytics, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, reliability, and security of data.
- Provide leadership in analyzing access patterns, user behavior, and security incidents to enhance policies and controls.
- Deliver outcomes with agile processes and a CI/CD mindset, incessantly seeking opportunities to automate, including use of AI/ML.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data visualization, data warehouse, and scripting technologies as well as IAM and cybersecurity.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a strong background in data analytics.
- 7+ years of experience with data analytics processes, including extracting, loading, transforming, and presenting data
- Proficiency in Power BI and Snowflake, with the ability to create complex reports and manage large data models.
- Expertise with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.) and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
- Familiarity with AI/ML to improve capabilities and services related to data modeling and insights.
- Strong understanding of IAM / cybersecurity concepts, security principles, and data privacy regulations is a plus.
- Experience as a lead in data analytics projects is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
