THE COMPANY:
Our client is a global leader in medical technology, renowned for their innovative imaging and diagnostic solutions. With a strong presence in the Irish healthcare market, they are continuing to expand and are now seeking an Applications Specialist to support their ultrasound portfolio nationwide.

THE ROLE:
As Applications Specialist, you will provide pre- and post-sales support for the ultrasound product range across Ireland. This will include product demonstrations, training clinicians and end users, attending tradeshows, and delivering hands-on application support. You will work closely with hospitals and clinical staff to ensure effective use of the systems, while supporting the sales team with product expertise during the sales process. This is a field-based role, and you will spend the majority of your time on-site with customers in hospitals, ensuring excellent client support and product adoption.

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A background as a qualified Sonographer or Radiologist (essential)
  • Minimum of 1+ years post-qualification, with hands-on experience using ultrasound/imaging systems in clinical settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support clients
  • Full driver's licence and willingness to travel (this is not an office or WFH role)

As an Application Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in configuring, implementing, and maintaining Investran and similar applications, ensuring its smooth operation and integration with other business systems. You will work closely with various departments, including product management, business stakeholders, portfolio management and peer technology teams, to support and enhance the use of the Investran platform across the organization.

As an Application Specialist within the Information Technology department your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting the Investran application, ensuring it meets business requirements and operates efficiently;

  • Investran certifications beneficial;

  • Proven experience managing Investran in a multi-client private equity fund administration environment

Key Responsibilities

Let's talk about the team and your role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Management Specialist to lead the operational management of our business applications. This role focuses primarily on ensuring the availability, performance, and continuous improvement of applications, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Collaboration with infrastructure and network teams plays a crucial role in achieving these objectives. Additionally, automating repetitive tasks is a key activity to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Let's talk about Responsibilities:

  • Operational management of business applications, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with service levels.
  • Collaborate with solution teams and project managers to understand application requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Coordinate and execute application lifecycle activities including installation, technical configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Provide third-level support and manage major incidents in collaboration with infrastructure and network teams.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure optimal operation.
  • Execute daily operational tasks and service requests received from global GTS.
  • Maintain system documentation and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Participate in projects related to application and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.

Let's talk Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional experience in application management and system administration.
  • Strong technical knowledge in system operations, troubleshooting, and incident management.
  • Experience in working with global IT service teams and handling operational requests.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, especially in setup and upgrade processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills in both technical and business contexts.
  • Ability to familiarize yourself with special purpose applications as well as legacy applications.
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for this role.

Preferred Skills

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with automating tasks with PowerShell or similar solutions.
  • Experience with application monitoring (e.g., Datadog).
  • Experience managing monitoring tools.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for collaboration.
