Role Overview We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our office team. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing accurate technical drawings for structural and architectural steelwork. You will work closely with management, fabricators, and contractors to ensure projects are designed, detailed, and delivered to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Create and update detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for steel structures, staircases, balconies, gates, railings, and glass systems. Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and convert them into fabrication-ready details. Liaise with management, workshop, and installation teams to ensure drawings are practical and accurate. Prepare and maintain drawing registers and project documentation. Make revisions to drawings as required by clients, architects, or engineers. Assist in project planning and provide technical support to the workshop and site teams. Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential). Experience in structural/architectural steel detailing (preferred but not essential if willing to learn). Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. Desirable (but not required) Knowledge of Tekla, Revit, or other 3D modelling software. Technical Submittal Development Prepare and develop technical submittals in line with project specifications. Revise drawings based on design changes, RFIs, or site conditions. Update construction drawings to reflect as-built site conditions 3. As-Built Drawings & Handover Documentation Organise, prepare, and submit handover packs including: O&M manuals (Operation & Maintenance) Material Data Sheets and CE certificate Test reports and commissioning documents QA/QC documentation & Compliance certificates As-built drawings 4.
