This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Product Owner with keen delivery mindset to join our team and be part of a major core banking project. The role involves managing and optimising Product backlog to maximize value of the product/services delivered. This is a senior level role that requires managing cross-functional squad as well as delivery.
We're looking for someone who will:
· Be the primary point of contact to various stakeholders, on behalf of the Project team and identify the requirements for the development team.
· Create and prioritize a product backlog that aligns with the Project vision and goals, and continuously refine it based on feedback and changing business needs.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. developers, design team leads, quality assurance) to ensure that the product/service delivered meets customer needs and is delivered on time and within budget.
· Ensure that the product backlog items are clearly defined, well understood, and properly estimated by the development team.
· Continuously monitoring the product's performance and gathering feedback from customers and stakeholders, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and prioritize future improvements.
· Keep the Delivery Squad focused on deliverables for each sprint and maintain the focus across various sprints.
· Collaborate with Delivery leads, product owners of other squads, and Design leads to effectively deliver the committed back log items across sprints.
· Improve the squad's delivery capacity by analysing key concern areas during sprint retrospectives and provide timely support for the squad members as and when required.
· Establishing a vision and a roadmap for delivery of requirements

· You can Continuously monitor the Project' and Squad's performance, gather feedback from various stakeholders and respond/take actions to show continuous improvement

· You can take tough decisions on what features/items to include in each sprint or release, based on the value they will deliver to business needs
· You can closely work with the Scrum Master and the delivery squad to resolve challenges and remove impediments
· You are a professional with strong commercial acumen who will connect easily with the strategy and goals of both Project and business
Experience and Skills required -
+ 10+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 5+ years as Product Owner or Delivery Manager or Delivery Lead
+ Agile/Scrum Certification (CSPO/PSPO/SafePO/PM) preferred
+ Extensive experience in managing Product Backlog and Development teams/squads
+ Track record of delivering complex projects through agile process
+ Exceptional Communicational Skills (both verbal and written)
+ Background in Financial Services/Banking domain in Ireland/UK markets will be an added advantage
+ Background in Core banking application will be an added advantage

Role
- Develop high quality, secure, scalable Java web services and related custom Java applications based on technical/functional requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget.
- Responsible for programming, unit testing, integration testing, documentation, maintenance and support of systems application software in adherence with Mastercard standards, processes and best practices.
- Research, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs current and upcoming technologies and frameworks.
- Work with project team to meet scheduled due dates, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions for problems and independently perform assigned tasks.
- Document software programs as per software development best practices. Follow Mastercard quality assurance and quality control processes, managing security best practices in product code, design, infrastructure and architecture.

- Interpret and apply Irish and international tax legislation to client scenarios, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and VAT, ensuring compliance and identifying planning opportunities.
- Oversee preparation and review of corporate tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions, and liaising with tax authorities on audits and inquiries.
- Develop and implement tax risk management strategies, including governance frameworks and documentation protocols for financial services entities.
- Advise on tax technology and automation solutions, including analytics tools and robotics, to streamline compliance and reporting processes.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing technical training, performance feedback, and career development support across multiple locations (Dublin, Cork, Galway).
