We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Electrical/Mechanical/Control Engineer to join our Engineering Operations Team.

The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions. Our technicians are operating and maintaining AWS DCs' world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure. In addition to technical operations and maintenance, the successful candidate will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
The role requires a motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence. The work follows a process-oriented approach: the individual needs a strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities.
The successful candidate will be part of the Engineering and Facilities team and will be responsible for; maintaining availability for customers; ensuring maintenance and operation of technical infrastructure; and the upkeep and operation of the DC facility.
Key job responsibilities
- Assisting in the operation, and maintenance of all, mechanical, Electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
- Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems,
- Operate under minimal supervision.
- Create and close Work Orders with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system
- Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/ preventive maintenance
- Testing: Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, processes
- Act as a front line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, AHU's, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD's, and building automation systems.

+ You speak fluent Spanish and English.
+ You are proven self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.
+ You must be proactive, results oriented and have strong attention to detail.
