CBS are currently involved in a number of prestigious projects ranging from hotels and sports stadiums through to large residential projects.
Role Description
You'll play a key part in the Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will have the opportunity to provide input into large prestigious projects nationwide.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
- Design and specification of all Mechanical and Electrical Building Services systems.
- Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including H2x, , AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, etc.
- Preparing technical specifications.
- Working with others to produce accurate designs
- Drawing production in AutoCAD
- Drawing Production in REVIT (essential)
- Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
- Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations.
- Managing elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
- Good level of computer literacy in a range of mechanical and electrical digital tools - H2x, IES, Prodesign (Amtech), AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Awareness of building physics principles.
- Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.
- Good knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
- Able to take charge of personal project deliverables, make decisions on developing the discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.

Our Client seeking a highly motivated and safety conscious individual who will take responsibility for the commercial and technical management of our project on site. They will oversee all onsite activities ensuring all tasks are completed in the safest way possible within specification, on time and on budget to the highest quality standards and in line with there minimum standards.
Additionally the site manager may be required to fulfil the following roles as part of their duties.

Daily Responsibilities
- Plan and manage and monitor the construction work while promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
- Familiarisation with the design documentation, project programme and construction methodologies for the assigned project
- Ensure all plant equipment are fit for purpose and inspected as required
- Review of all third party RAMS / SSOW and production of methodology sequencing to ensure alignment with relevant process and protocols

- Investigate events inline with Veolia and clients policies in the event of an incident on site.

- Ensure all PSCS duties are being fulfilled on site.
- Managing Subcontractor performance on site and escalating issues to the project manager.
- Optimise workflows where possible to reduce project programme
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and play a role in resolving disputes & claims.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the following during construction phase:
- Environmental Plan / Waste Management Plan / Construction H&S Plan / Emergency Plan / Project Schedule.
Requirements
Qualifications
- IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers (SHE)
- 5 years + experience working in multi-discipline site based project (Civils)
- 5 years + construction experience preferably in trades/supervision role
- Experience in the water/wastewater industry desirable
- Knowledge of the water industry and related construction methodology, equipment and processes (Desirable)
- Lead by example on H&S and empower all on site to ensure that all work is carried out safely
