Business Consulting - Capital Projects - Infrastructure PM (Energy / Utilities / Transport)
Our client are looking to hire a number of head count across their teams delivering large-scale Capital Projects and seek experienced, motivated Project & Programme Managers and Assistant PMs who have previously worked in offshore or marine infrastructure projects to join our team.

Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with infrastructure clients (across our focus sectors; energy, water, transport, gas, telecoms, housing, and healthcare) to help create innovative insights and solutions to meet their needs.
- Advising clients on the challenges relating to the delivery of capital projects and programmes
- Project set-up and mobilisation, defining the operating model and delivery strategy.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that all project deliverables are managed to time, cost and quality.
- Ensuring that project plans, project logs (E.g., Risks, assumptions issues, dependencies logs) and project budgets are managed effectively.
- Delivery of major project/programme activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Integrating data to inform insights by sharing technical, sector and market knowledge in their area of expertise.
- Applying knowledge, experience and expertise to shape services to clients with limited direction, including development of high-quality work products and presentation of project outputs, as required.
- Participating in and as required, acting as the lead on small engagements or work-streams.
- Assessing the maturity of programme management and/or operations of an infrastructure or capital programme and where required implementing recommendations to improve that maturity.
- High quality business writing and ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, (including senior management team), via meetings, presentations and reports.
- Continuous development and improvement of processes and procedures within the team.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 3rd level educational qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.

Your Key Responsibilities
In order to grow EY's successful TD business we are looking for experienced Senior Managers who will be responsible for:
Client Responsibilities:
- Managing and delivering large-scale transformation programmes and projects to time, cost and quality;
- Leading the delivery of major project and programme activities, including business process design, testing and end user training involving multiple cross functional stakeholders.
- Building valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and developing a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities;
- Ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent, high-quality work products by EY teams, providing a platform to build and maintain our global brand, reputation and purpose.
- Acting as a subject matter resource in one or more areas, leveraging your knowledge and experience to shape services for clients;
- Leading presentations and proposals for medium to high complex projects and providing subject matter insight to bids and proposals in relevant areas;
- Creating innovative commercial insights for clients, adapting methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contributing to thought leadership;
- Driving improvements by taking responsibility for engagement / account level Quality & Risk Management (QRM) initiatives, ensuring that project teams understand and comply with our Q&RM requirements.
Internal Responsibilities:
- Assisting in client account management activities such as recruitment for the project team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management;
- Building valued relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in generating new business opportunities for EY;
- Leading and supporting presentations and proposals for elements of medium to high complex projects to prospective and existing clients;
- Communicating effectively with EY senior management and working to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams;

Skills and attributes for success:

- Ideal candidates will have multidisciplinary experience including project management, business process design, testing the solution and end user training.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes;

- Minimum of 7+ years in delivering regulatory reporting or finance transformation programmes, with demonstrated experience of applying methodologies such as Prince2/ PMP/Agile.
- An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) applied in a financial institution would be beneficial
- Understanding of technology trends and implications on the Financial Services industry
- Strong communication skills, with experience of managing strategy material and presenting to key stakeholders.
- Experience of delivering change through multi-disciplinary stakeholders and collaborating across jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, supervise and develop others; effectively communicate, manage budgets, timelines and plans; manage client expectations, and deliver quality projects.

Your key responsibilities
To continue to grow EY's successful Capital Projects Delivery business, we are currently hiring Contract Managers at all levels with a combination of engineering/technical/construction and law/contracts background.
- Work directly with EY's infrastructure clients to help create innovative insights and solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop contract management plans aligned with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Lead the contract formation process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with our client's subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with contract terms, conditions, and specifications, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Manage contract changes, variations, and claims, assessing their impact on project scope, schedule, and cost, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, working closely with project stakeholders to proactively address issues and minimise disruptions.
- Track contract performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and deliverables, and provide regular updates to project teams and management.
- Facilitate resolution of contract disputes and claims through negotiation, mediation, or other dispute resolution mechanisms, ensuring timely and fair outcomes.
- Cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and other external partners, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor contract budgets, expenditures, and invoicing, and reconcile financial discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with project financial goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, records, and reports, and prepare regular status reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
