About The Role
We're looking for a Business Development Representative to join our BDR team. As a Business Development Representative you will work closely with your supporting Account Executive team, Marketing and Partner team to ensure EMEA builds strong opportunities in key target accounts in EMEA. Your responsibilities will include outbounding to your book of business, cold-calling, video prospecting, personalised emails as well as qualifying inbound leads to build a strong pipeline in your market.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Dublin office. As a hybrid company, you are expected to come to the Dublin office at least 2 days per week as well as be available for some travel to events. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You'll Do

  • Outbound into Commercial Accounts.

  • As part of our commitment to setting new hires up for success, all new sales team members attend a one-week, in-person Revenue Bootcamp during their second week at Fivetran. This bootcamp, held at one of our designated company locations, requires travel and is a mandatory part of the onboarding process.

Our Business Development Representative (BDR) team is part of our wider Sales Business, focusing on generating new business and whitespace pipeline through prospecting outbound opportunities with the ultimate goal of closed won business. Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organization where new business opportunities come to life. Within the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support outbound sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact in the Sales Development Organization by generating millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year.

Additionally, BDRs are enrolled in an intensive sales training program with the purpose of providing new professionals with the fundamental skills necessary to achieve a successful sales career at Salesforce.

Day to Day

  • Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
  • Manage inbound leads that are driven by outbound effort
  • Nurture early-stage opportunities
  • Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing Salesforce customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned territory
  • Partner with core seller to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas
  • Align with internal account team
  • Identify key decision makers within new accounts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Arabic and French and English is required for this role.
  • Experience in business development, sales or related field experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and across many different parts of the organisation to get things done
  • Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts
  • Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by identifying and qualifying outbound opportunities. What you'll do:

  • Source new leads through innovative outbound methods, demonstrating creativity in prospecting.
  • Create and/or identify high-quality opportunities by discovering and qualifying outbound leads.
  • Effectively communicate the Absorb value proposition to new prospects.
  • Consistently achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals for calls, emails, prospecting, with a proactive outreach approach.
  • Attain weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline goals, qualifying leads to appropriate criteria for overall sales success.
  • Develop and execute weekly call plans and quarterly account plans, collaborating with the account team for strategic success.
  • Identify and engage with sales opportunities, demonstrating a strong understanding of various industry issues and the role of an LMS.
  • Maintain CRM tools with up-to-date client information and actively participate in team meetings and projects to improve processes and drive sales output.

What you'll bring:

  • 1-3 years experience in a related role.
  • Must be a team player and highly self-motivated.
  • Excellent at being adaptable to change and switching priorities.
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejections daily.
  • Proficient in conducting detailed data analyses and using metrics to drive business results.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interested in long-term career opportunities in SaaS sales.

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Proven ability to sell with a minimum of 1 year of experience. This can be in the service industry, field sales, door to door, retail or at an office
  • Familiarity with Sales Engagement tools (Outreach, SalesLoft, Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with Sales Prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, Lusha)
