The ID NOW delivers accurate results in just minutes, giving HCPs real-time access to the information required to make actionable decisions during the first patient visit.
The ID NOW Platform provides diagnostics where and when they are needed most - in near patient settings at the point of care such as Emergency departments, Admissions and Wards.
Other products within the portfolio include Binax NOW rapid antigen tests, sexual health testing and women's' health.
We are currently recruiting for a brand new **Business Development Manager (Field Based)** in **Republic of Ireland** to join **Abbott** **Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division (ARDx).** This is a field based high level and strategic sales role that will focus on pulling together Secondary Care Hospitals, Community and Private Healthcare Providers to ensure Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) leads in Point of Care provision.

**What You'll Do**
This is a key role within the team, as managing the business across a growing division requiring excellent communication, planning, prioritisation and relationship building both internally and externally. More specifically:
+ Producing strategic business planning
+ Implement business strategy to align & partner with the Private Sector & Secondary Care to maximise sales and growth of the portfolio
+ Achieve target and deliver revenues

**Profile**

Auxilion has a strong existing base of Managed Service customers covering large complex back-end infrastructures of hundreds of servers (DC, Private and Public Cloud), Networking, BackUp and DR, Applications, End User support and onsite Deskside and Sys Admin resources In this role you will nurture early stage relationships with customers, working with our Marketing function, Managed Service Solution Architect and ITSM Consulting Team to position Auxilion as a credible partner for Managed Services and drive these to opportunities. Position Responsibilities: Working with clients who typically have between 250 and 5000 users you will develop and cultivate relevant contacts from C- level through to technical influencers and drive revenue for the various solutions on offer from Auxilion. The following activities are important for success in the role: Building strong relationship with customer at all levels. Researching the market and related (and competitive) products. Work closely with technical Pre Sales, Architect and Consulting resources to understand customer requirements and position relevant solutions. Work closely with bid management team to deliver suitable proposals. Presenting the service offerings in a structured professional way face to face. Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails. Calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business. Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries. Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential new markets. Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales. Gathering market and customer information. Representing the organisation at trade exhibitions and events. Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers. Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy. Advising on forthcoming new service and product developments and discussing special promotions. Liaising with the delivery organisation to ensure everything running smoothly. Recording and reporting sales information on the company CRM system. Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets. Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements. Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with proposals and quotations. Feeding future buying trends back to the business. Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues. Attending weekly / monthly and quarterly sales meeting to report your progress and win. Technical & Professional Competencies: The successful candidate will require the following: Min of 5+ years experience in a sales role within the ICT Sector that included selling complex Managed Services Experience of selling Managed Services into larger customers (min 250 3000 users) and comfortable talking to all levels within the customer from C Suite through Senior and Mid Level management and technical staff (including those outside the IT Function) Experience responding to complex RFPs (ideally private and public sector) Adept with CRM and Microsoft Office Great ability to network within an organisation Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very competent in presenting formally and informally to customers. Strong ability to influence. Self-starter with strong organisational skills.
