Job OverviewThe Business Associate is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Function Background/Context:
- The role is part of the International European Business Execution team, dedicated to support the Europe Cluster COO and the Business Execution team
- Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function
- Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
- Requires very good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Able to distil complex information into simplified messages. Strong ability to work on excel, PowerPoint and put together solid and high impact materials for management.
- Strategic mindset. Understands the systems of the organization and where to get the required information. Partners with the central International team, other Business Execution Leads, Finance, ESPA, other functional teams as well as Coverage teams and products to gather the top of mind matters to use these in various materials for management.
- Works independently and thinks ahead of the items and matters that will need attention. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required
Job Purpose and Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Europe Business execution team with the strategy execution. This will entail coordinating the initiatives we have underway, driving the various meeting agendas and measurement of the various KPIs. High level of perfection and competency in ensuring the quality and timings of information is met
- Work with the Europe management team to frame the key areas for growth and opportunities which would supplement the core strategy
- Be very close to the macro environment and any geopolitical and strategic lens that would feed into the evolution of the business direction. Use these in co-ordination of materials and tying this back to the strategy
- Support the Europe Business Execution team on assembling all the presentation materials for interval review as well as regulatory or external presentation. Partner with other BE in client and product organizations to draw in the themes needed
- Support with the decks required for ECB and other regulators. This will require extensive coordination with countries, business and products
- Aligned to the drivers and get into the micro details of the cluster which can entail understanding and articulations of financial metrics, operational costs, correlation of indices like VOC and VOE into the business performance etc.
- Think broadly and deeply and be a key sounding board to the Europe Business Execution team of ways to improve processes within the cluster
- Very good at PowerPoint and excel and be able to convert multiple information sources into well-presented and impactful slides having a key message
- Be good at comparative analysis looking at trends, competitive benchmarks, external data sources, replicable ideas and content from other Citi branches. etc.
- Support in keeping Europe Cluster Head scorecard in check and working to address any weaknesses in a timely manner
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Required skills include project management, strategic analysis, solid quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues through concise presentation skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Powerpoint and Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and formulas
- Excellent people skills to oversee cross disciplinary work streams
- Interest and experience in the financial services industry, in the areas of technology and data mining
- Knowledge of Corporate Finance products
- Banking, consulting or business management background preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

This role will closely partner across the COO team as well as the respective businesses and functions, ensuring accountability, appropriate governance, ownership and oversight are in place to support the execution of required initiatives across the legal vehicle and firm. This is a key position in the COO team as it supports the legal vehicle in delivering for our clients and firm whilst meeting our supervisory expectations and requirements.
The CEP Legal Entity Business Execution role will partner closely across the team to ensure entity level execution remains on-track, with risks escalated and mitigated as required. The position will be accountable for delivering on committed timelines and quality, managing escalations, engaging and providing/obtaining status updates to/from all key stakeholders across businesses and functions.
The role holder will require the ability to influence, negotiate, drive through cross-businesses and functions, and deliver results for the entity. The Legal Entity Business Execution will possess a thorough understanding of the strategic direction of Citi, Europe and CEP, combined with a solid conceptual and practical grounding in both its businesses and operations, as well as knowledge of the regulatory landscape and legal vehicle management matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Execution of key strategic initiatives and priorities for the legal entity, supporting business growth, productivity or other work efforts identified by CEP Exco, including remediation of distressed programs or escalations of issues in execution, engagement, or requiring further attention
+ Work closely with CEP COO and COO team to identify areas of enhanced execution requirements - partner with the team to deliver timely, consistent and controlled execution.
+ Execute resolution of observations received by the entity that may result in further actions such as Dear CEO letters, annual supervisory letters etc.
+ Drive strategic reviews, contribute to major initiatives, and implementation of cross-enterprise work streams to align the firm and CEP strategic priorities and regulatory obligations including legal entity simplification
+ Partner with CEP Legal Entity Program team on cross business/function initiatives impacting the Europe Cluster, engages and challenges programs owned by functions and/or businesses
+ Design and implement simplified framework to standardize execution, and reporting while enhancing accountability and clear ownership across businesses, functions, and governance forums for CEP / Europe Cluster and International

**Knowledge / Experience**
+ Extensive, cross functional business or program leadership experience, including exposure to the Markets and Banking. Global Functions, Operations and Technology is welcome.
+ Possess a thorough understanding of the strategic direction of Citi, Europe and CEP, combined with a solid conceptual and practical grounding in both the European business and operations, as well as the regulatory landscape and legal vehicle management drivers.
+ Significant experience with European Legal Entity drivers and Franchise structures between bank and corporate chain entities
+ Broad experience and network across Europe cluster
+ Knowledge of Project Governance Procedures and functional expertise in strategic planning
+ Experience in transformational re-engineering projects (e.g. divestures, acquisition integration, outsourcing etc.)

+ Consistent record as Business Execution, Program Manager, Lead PMO or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects
+ Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management roles
+ Good knowledge of Citi's organization: structure, culture, including formal and informal communication channels

Fidelity Digital Assets℠ (FDA) is dedicated to building products and services that help customers adopt digital assets and innovate within the increasingly digital world of finance. The Execution Services team is a blended Front/Middle office Trade Support group. The team is responsible for order flow management, identifying and resolving trade breaks, identifying and escalating trade discrepancies, resolving trading and counterparty-related disputes, and providing key external client support. The Business Analysis team sits within the Execution Services team and is responsible for representing the business needs of the group for both top-down strategic initiatives and bottom-up tactical work.
To be effective, you will become a subject matter expert on all electronic trading workflows within FDA. You will work closely with Product Strategy, Product Delivery, Engineering, Relationship Managers, Custody and Client Service teams to ensure understanding of client trading and operational needs to drive valuable change. Expertise

- 4+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in Equity or FX trading or operations
- In depth knowledge of front to back trade lifecycle
- Knowledge of trading technologies specifically API/FIX connectivity & other electronic trading frameworks
- Experience in supporting product testing in UAT & Production environments, defect analysis and root cause analysis
- Ability to assess value, develop requirements, and prioritize features intended to increase the efficiency & automation of electronic trading workflows & day-to-day operations. Ensure work focuses on features with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy road map
- Solid Project Management skills
- Understanding and demonstration of quantitative & analytical skills necessary to make data driven decisions
