We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Finance Business Partnering to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Supervisor, Finance Business Partnering at ICON, you will oversee the finance business partnering function, ensuring effective financial support and strategic insights for clinical projects. Your leadership will be essential in optimising financial processes, fostering collaboration across departments, and driving informed decision-making throughout the organisation.
**What You Will Be Doing:**
+ Supervising and managing the finance business partnering team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for clinical trials and projects.
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project management, clinical operations, and senior leadership, to provide financial insights and support for strategic decision-making.
+ Implementing and monitoring financial controls and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
+ Providing training and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous improvement in financial business partnering.
+ Analysing financial performance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness.
**Your Profile:**
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
+ Significant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably within the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry.
+ Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and strategic financial planning.
+ Effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for an expert **Supervisor** **, Financial Business Partnering'** to join the team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.
**The Role**
+ Manage Business P&L and Balance Sheet, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing activities, Capital Expenditures
+ Advise on risk and opportunity for managing cost and growing the revenue and profitability.
+ Provide decision support and guidance
+ Recognise, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centre around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
+ As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
+ Must have the ability to provide oversight and direction on the cleaning (and/or analyze) large and complex data sets
+ Take ownership for a broad set of individual deliverables in conjunction to ownership of team objectives
+ Must be an excellent team player and provide leadership to junior team members.
+ Individual and team contributor, responsible for their own & others work within their functional area.
+ Strong communicator and contributor to his/her customer & team (whether manager or project lead).
+ Perform other reasonably related duties, analysis and special projects as assigned by management team
+ Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.
**You will need:**

+ Required bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business. MBA is a plus.
+ 3+years of experience in Sr. Financial Analyst role, work experience with consulting business or CRO is a big plus.
+ Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
+ Ability to work effectively with people at various levels of the organization.
+ Excellent knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
+ Proficient communication (written and oral), good organizational skills.
+ Experience with financial modeling
+ Prior financial systems experience
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization and gain responsibilities in a range of Financial and Business Partnering driven activities, become commercially focused and be a key player within the Finance activities or the global organisation:
+ Preparation of client reports (financial analysis, forecasting, metrics and dashboards) to support the client in their financial planning and month end process.
+ Partnering with Operations teams to review the financial health of studies.
+ Conducting financial reviews to proactively identify, facilitate and drive actions across stakeholder groups.
+ Preparation of internal monthly study report, documenting key financial risks and mitigating actions.
+ Preparation of internal monthly financial reporting packages and financial forecast for operations with insightful commentary and analysis.
+ Preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations.
**What you will ideally need:**
+ Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with good experience in analysis and insights of financial data and trends.
+ Good Systems experience.
+ Audit & Assurance experience is beneficial.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work on own initiative.
+ Experience assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements.
