Requirements- Catering Assistant experience is desirable but not essential;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, residents and their families;
- HACCP or other food safety training is advantageous, however not essential as this training will be provided;

ACOUNTABILITY
The Catering Assistant will be:
- Preparing and presenting catering services to service users, staff and visitors.
- Be aware of accountability and responsibility for the highest quality in the delivery of catering services and act accordingly in respect of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety current legislation i.e. HACCP
- Service of meals, counter service, ensuring agreed portion controls and customer satisfaction.

Essential Criteria's
- EU Citizenship
- Previous catering experience
- Strong Customer service skills, awareness & sensitivity towards Residents
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- HACCP training would be a distinct advantage
- Candidate must be available for flexible working hours
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative
Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Food preparation tasks
- Hygiene and cleanliness of food preparation areas
- Food serving and basic cleaning tasks
- Organise food preparation areas and adhere to all food safety procedures
- Ensure facilities are replenished and tidy as you go throughout service
- Support service to Residents in a timely and professional fashion
- To follow the agreed HACCP standards and procedures
- Be approachable as well as a customer service oriented
- Have the ability to multitask in a fast pace working environment
