Electronic Hardware Engineer
As an Electronic Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing Sonova's engineering capabilities through the introduction of new technologies and world-class practices. - Support the manufacturing operation through new technology introduction, training, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives
- Provide specialist electronic and problem-solving support for production, including amplifier testing, UCT issues, and other hardware components

- Source or manufacture test equipment and infrastructure as required

- Skilled in CAD tools and familiar with fabrication techniques such as cutting, drilling, and milling

The System Hardware Validation Engineer will work as part of Qualcomm's SVE (System Validation Emulation) Team on leading technologies such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers and verification engineers.

As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering activities on Wastewater Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Plants.
No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Contracts Manager on an ongoing basis. You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning phase.

- Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting and system integration

- Validate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriate
- Compile and issue technical submittals
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes (NSAI Irish Standard I.S. 10101:2020 IEC, WIMES), safety regulations, and environmental standards

Key Competencies and Skills:
- 2 - 5 years minimum experience in a related industry
- Technical knowledge and experience of 3 phase industrial installations, specifically including 3 phase motors , starters, control panels, PLC's and associated instrumentation
- Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with AutoCAD and Trimble for electrical design and layout
- Strong technical knowledge of Safe Electric certification
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
- Ability to lead and take responsibility for project completion

- Third level Electrical Engineering
- Similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered

Electrical Engineer
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our team in Ireland. This role is ideal for someone who is self-driven, resourceful, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in the design, technical review, and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the preparation and review of electrical designs for solar PV and BESS projects, focusing on single-line diagrams, cable layout, and protection concepts.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and grid teams in Germany, along with project managers, procurement, and construction teams, to optimize designs and ensure timely, accurate delivery of electrical components.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with design and quality standards, including Irish grid codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations.
- Offer technical advice during tendering, procurement, and construction phases, including providing support in the preparation of technical documentation and specifications for equipment and systems.
- Assist with commissioning and testing activities at construction stage to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate, collaborate and supervise local subcontractors, suppliers, and grid operators to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is essential, laying the foundation for success in innovative projects.
- Bringing 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering, ideally within solar PV, BESS projects, or related areas.
- Experience in utility grid contestable design and delivery in Ireland is highly valued.
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, grid connection requirements, and protection systems is highly valued.
- Proficient use of leading electrical design software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, or ETAP) along with common MS Office applications, is required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills, supported by a flexible and structured approach, suited to contributing within a dynamic start-up environment.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer (Protection) with 5 to 6 years' experience in the delivery of protection solutions for various projects at a range of voltages from 10 kV to 38 kV.
In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity and building resilient infrastructure, you will work with the team in delivering services including specification, tender evaluation, design and testing of protection and control devices for our various national and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop multifunction application device configurations and applied standard protection and control schematic designs for a range of distribution protection IEDs.
- Modify featured protection IED logic with user-defined programmable logic to achieve specified application performance.
- Create distribution protection IED acceptance test plans and procedures
- Develop technical specifications, technical schedules, price schedules and other documents required for distribution protection IED tender enquiries, and review submitted tenders.
- Provide specialised technical expertise, knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
Experience And Qualifications
Essential
- At least five years' experience creating detailed designs in either substation secondary systems design, or protection and/or control application engineering.
- Experience in the development of protection IED specifications and the technical evaluation of tender submissions.
- Level 8 Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to safety, time, quality, and cost objectives.
- Strong commercial and project management capability.
- A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service.
- A proven track record of success contributing to the training and development of technical professionals.
Location
This position will be based in One Dublin Airport Central, and travel to project locations as required is a key requirement of the role.

They are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who works as part of their Engineering team based in Co Louth to support the design and manufacture of their products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design of electrical circuits on tanks & modular units to specific customer requirements,
• Ensuring that all engineering documentation created as part of tasks meet the requirements of internal procedures & strict timelines. This includes engineering drawings, BOMs, Calculations, Technical Specifications and other project deliverables,
• Maintain and control engineering documentation for each contract as per the requirements of the business and quality manuals. Liaise with customers to ensure that all contract requirements have been accurately documented and obeyed,
• Ensure that design outputs comply with all relevant national and international design codes and standards.
• Compile relevant documentation from vendors, contractors, and other departments for inclusion in protocols / reports.
• Review and approve documents prepared by contractor organisations (e.g. vendor SAT's, FAT's, commissioning protocols, project change controls).

Qualifications and Skills:
• The ideal candidate will have an honours degree in Electrical Engineering,
• 3-5 years' experience in and Electrical Design role within a commercial environment.
• Previous exposure to or experience with electrical design (Layouts, schematics etc) using EPlan or similar is preferred.
• CAD / Solidworks / Revit / SAP experience is an advantage.
• Proven commercial awareness
