Purpose of the Role

The Surgical Dental Nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of surgical procedures, providing chairside support, maintaining high standards of infection control, and ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Role Summary

The Staff Nurse in the Step-Down Unit (SDU) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to adults requiring ongoing medical or surgical management, monitoring, and rehabilitation. This includes caring for patients transitioning from higher acuity areas such as HDU or theatre, or those admitted directly for sub-acute medical treatment. Admission & Initial Assessment
