Our current portfolio of work comprises a diverse mix of local and national development and civil infrastructure projects at all stages, from Feasibility through to Detailed Design and Construction
_Here's what you'll do:_
+ **Deliver:** Our wide range of clients includes local authorities, government agencies, developers, retailers, landowners, housebuilders, blue-chip companies, and Universities. You will be a part of a team that delivers high quality civil engineering support and services to all project stages, from feasibility through to Detailed Design and Construction.
+ **Oversee:** You will take ownership of the tasks that are required for each of the project stages. You will work with other design team members whilst providing guidance to entry-level engineers and coordinated with the relevant multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering designs and deliverables for our clients, within programme and on budget.
+ **Provide Expertise:** Offer technical knowledge and expertise on all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects, particularly drainage design, from conceptual phases to implementation.
+ **Ensure Quality:** You will strive for excellence in all projects, following the AECOM QA/QC procedures and you will work through the complexities of projects by providing early warning on risks associated with programme and budget, and by working with the client to overcome project challenges.
+ **Collaborate:** You will work with both internal and external multi-disciplinary engineers and stakeholder to allow you to successfully deliver integrated designs and build effective relationships to ensure the success of projects.

_Here's what we're looking for:_
+ A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
+ Either Chartered or working towards Chartered status with the Institution of Engineers of Ireland or Institution of Civil Engineers or relevant Institution
+ Relevant work experience in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure from inception to handover including experience in the design of SUDs, water main distribution pipelines, storm and foul gravity collection networks, surface water catchment analysis, flood risk assessments, highway and pavement design, earthworks modelling and working knowledge of DMRB and DMURS
+ Experienced in using relevant industry-standard software including Microdrainage or InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3d.
+ Experience of working in a multidisciplinary design team, and capable of effectively liaising with architects, planning consultants, and external consultants.
+ Experienced in undertaking site inspections, test witnessing and reporting on same, and answering technical RFIs during construction.

The LDA has commenced construction ona number ofprojects on State land and has a delivery pipelinein excess of17,000 homes. It also works in partnership with the countrys largest and most experienced homebuilders and will deliver a further 8,000 homes under the Governments ProjectTosaighinitiative. Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway. TheRole This is a new role within an expanding Asset Management Team and will offer the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of transformative projects across the country. The successful candidate will be an experienced facilities/land manager and will be tasked with management and oversight of external service providers in the delivery of land, facilities and security services in addition to providing advice to internal LDA Teams on asset management matters specific to land and facilities services. The ideal candidate will have all necessary technical, property/facilities and commercial acumen required to successfully oversee the management of a large portfolio of sites and land. In addition to being a strong and effective communicator, candidates will need to be flexible, driven, motivated and critically possess the ability to be adaptable to respond to the exciting challenges of the LDA mandate. Essential duties and responsibilities: Working closely with and directing external security and facilities agents and/or internal teams as applicable. My client is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer required to work in our dynamic civil infrastructure design team based in their Cork office. The successful candidate will work in a civil team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on varied projects such as land development for industrial/ commercial/ logistics/ residential projects in addition to potable and foul water infrastructure development. Desirable skills/attributes: Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering with a preferred minimum of 1+ years relevant experience. Recently chartered or aspiring to be chartered in the near future. Candidate must have ability to communicate effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively. Experience in storm water, foul, water, roads, earthworks and general civil design elements including knowledge of GDSDS, SuDS Design and DMURS required. Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and Section 50 applications desirable. Engineering report writing experience required. Experience in the use of engineer software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microdrainage and Culvert Master is desirable. Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Flexible approach with ability to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary. Enthusiastic, hardworking, a positive outlook and approachable manner. Well-motivated, willing to take responsibility and able to work as part of a team or alone when required.
