My client, a global medical device company is one of the world's leading health care suppliers and is in the Top 20 ranking of Medical Devices Companies.
We are working with them on a new vacancy for a
Clinical Support Specialist Orthopaedics.
This is a full-time permanent role covering the Leinster Territory.

Role Overview:
As a Clinical Support Specialist Orthopaedics' you are responsible for maintaining an existing customer base. In this role you will become an integral part of the sales team by providing clinical support for strategic accounts in the Leinster area.

  • Provide in theatre support to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products/orthopaedic implant systems
  • Provide accurate information regarding all products and their indications for use to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff
  • This is a clinical/educational role. Organize and facilitate educational/clinical advice to customers in an acute setting
  • Provide first class service and seamless supply to customer including Implants Systems training, supporting the theatre team to ensure surgical procedures proceed successfully

In this role your core responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Clinical Support in Orthopaedic theatre setting for Hip and Knee (Primary & Revision) procedures to Surgeon/Nurse requirements.
  • At all times to represent the Company and its products in a professional manner.
  • Provide in theatre support to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products
  • Provide accurate information regarding all products and their indications for use to Orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff
  • Provide first class service and seamless supply to customers including training, stock checks, timely deliveries and supporting the theatre team to ensure the operation proceeds successfully
  • To establish and maintain relationships with key accounts/ customers.
  • To keep abreast of developments and trends within the territory and to monitor & feedback competitor activity to Aesculap Business Lead.
  • Liaise on a clinical basis with prospective and existing customers to monitor clinical satisfaction and needs.
  • To deliver education and training on a group and individual basis – within the Hospital setting – Theatre & HSSD.
  • Attend exhibitions and conferences both nationally and internationally as required.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Experience
  • Experience in Orthopaedics'
  • Experience of Theatre
  • Proven experience building customer relationships.
  • Experience of the local healthcare sector
  • Clean Full Driving License
  • Flexible to travel regularly throughout Leinster and further as the need arises.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland
