As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will actively participate within our cloud team to ensure our chips can be orchestrated, observed, and managed from the cloud by delivering Kubernetes device plug-ins, exposing to observability stacks, and integrating with cloud hosted fleet management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Make independent technical contributions to help their team deliver its commitments. In particular:
– Deliver Kubernetes Device Plug-ins and extensions to ensure our platforms and microservices running on them can be orchestrated and managed from the cloud.
– Integrate on cloud hosted Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, etc.), local upstream downstream (RedHat OpenShift, SUSE Ranches, etc.), and light-weight Kubernetes distributions (K3s, MicroShift, etc.).
– Implement workload placement methods to maximise the performance of Cloud and HPC workloads on our platforms.

Overview of what we do:
Our Cloud Operations team are part of Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) who provide a wide range of services in the Cloud space. From one day to the next you could be building a solution using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), analysing security or service vulnerabilities and remediating where possible, responding to client requests, updating metadata (AWS tags) on AWS accounts or AWS resources or researching and investigating new solution to help the Cloud Operations team.
Responsibilities/tasks:
As a Cloud Operations intern you will be tasked with participating in the below activities.
- Understand and work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
- Operational support & incident resolution activities
- Build cloud based services and solutions based on defined patterns.
- Work closely with other team members, technical/team leads, management, specialized IT areas and application support teams to ensure that solutions are built to deliver availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Prioritize and respond to service requests as appropriate.
- Ensure that solutions we deliver are compliant with all operational and security standards, directives and policies.
- Implement and operationalize new cloud services.
- Develop scripts and functions to support internal processes and improve system performance

ROLE OVERVIEW
Are you passionate about cloud technologies and mobile services? We are currently seeking Mobile Services Support Engineers (x5) to join our dynamic Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of global cloud service operations, ensuring the reliability and security of our client's Mobile Services across the EU region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor mission-critical, customer-facing systems across public cloud environments.
Collaborate with global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to maintain and improve service performance.
Deliver timely reports on service metrics and performance.
Identify and implement improvements in deployment and monitoring strategies.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A strong communicator and critical thinker, able to analyze complex technical issues under pressure.
A fast learner, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experienced in IT or Internet distributed systems, ideally in a SaaS/PaaS setting.
Skilled in Linux environments, monitoring tools, and network technologies.
Familiar with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Knowledgeable in ITIL, DevOps practices, and ISO27001/CSA-STAR standards (a plus).
Ideally Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience in IT.
