Overview
The Database Engineering team is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based database solutions using services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Cache for Redis, and Azure Data Factory.
- Optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Automate database deployments and updates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Collaborate with development teams to support data modelling, schema design, and query optimization.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
- Maintain documentation and provide knowledge sharing across teams.
All About You
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL).
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, or equivalent.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).

**The role**
We are seeking is a highly motivated hands-on Manager to lead the Cloud Threat Research team. In this role, you will focus on leading threat research tasks in the cloud, email, BEC, ATO, OAuth and AI threat research.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead a team of cloud threat researchers.
+ Conduct cyber security research related to the cloud (Azure, Google, AWS).
+ Analyze logs, data and other information to generate impactful and actionable results.
+ Drive feature requirements and design while collaborating with R&D engineers and provide technical guidance and support on how to correctly implement them.
+ Enhance existing product features and capabilities.
+ Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies to provide insights that can influence the research team.
**Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of leading a threat research team.
+ 8+ years of hands-on cyber security research experience in cloud security, big data analysis, BEC, ATO, OAuth, AWS and Azure.
+ AI threat research experience (a bonus)
+ Strong technical background with an understanding of the Identity Security and/or Cloud Security space.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey research findings to stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
+ Relevant Cyber Security certifications and diplomas.
