: Product Design Engineering Student – CANoe Trace Analysis Project

Project Overview
The primary objective of this project is to develop a method to accurately identify Kostia service messages within CANoe trace files. This involves interpreting CAN bus data, filtering relevant service messages, and possibly creating scripts or tools for automation. You will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard automotive communication protocols and trace analysis.

Key Responsibilities
CANoe Trace File Analysis:

• Analyze CANoe trace files to understand the structure and sequencing of captured data.

Kostia Service Message Identification

• Develop rules, algorithms, or scripts to filter and identify Kostia service messages from the trace data.

Tool Development

• Support the creation or improvement of automated tools (e.g., in CAPL, Python, or similar) to efficiently extract and report service messages.

Documentation

• Document your process, including methodology, assumptions, test cases, and outcomes.

Reporting

• Present findings to the engineering team, highlighting effectiveness and any challenges encountered.

Collaboration

Kostia Bench Tester - Smart Load Box

Research, design and build a programmable load box to work in conjunction with the existing Kostia Bench Tester.

Purpose
The load box will enable the user to configure any load value (within acceptable ranges) for testing via Testman Endtest Software. A standalone application will also be developed so the load box can be utilised in other projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, design, code and build test system software and hardware add-on
• Design and build of interface for easy installation into current test hardware and software standard platforms
• Design and build of interface for easy programming and reprogramming of device
• Develop a proof of concept test sequence for testing, release and training
• Coordinate training program and documentation to be used in roll out of the equipment
• Liaise with Test and Software Development Engineers and use feedback as inputs to design and develop process

This role will be based in out Limerick site. Providing manufacturing, product and process co-ordination support to the manufacturing line and Line Support. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested learning more about manufacturing operations.

Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker's 2026 Cooperative cohort.

Tasks and responsibilities may include:

• Coordinate and prioritise production to meet customer requirements, maintain inventory levels and relevant Key Production Indicators (KPIs) as per the plan developed with the Operations Supervisor. Communicate and record output levels.

• Support the Supervisor and Operations Associate in the maintaining of the Daily Management records.

• Collaborate with NPI teams to ensure that builds are prioritised and progressed through the line as per required timelines.

• Identify and manage training priorities vs business needs monthly

• Support the Line Support Team with the formation of a training schedule and ensuring the execution of the plan, ensuring versatility, station rotation and line staffing plans are adequate to meet business needs. Train & support the line SME's in delivery of training.

• Support the implementation, and scheduling of training for document changes.

• Support the Supervisor and Operations Associate in developing Production Training plans for new hires and ensure cross-training plans for employees are implemented.

• Support the Operations Associate in the upkeep of the SLMS training & ensuring that training is effectively recorded in line with QMS.

• Reviews overtime needs with Operations Supervisor and co-ordinates gathering list of team members to meet this need.

• Support the Supervisor with creating Staffing Plans .

• Ensure quality standards and expectations are communicated and deployed.

• Maintain the reports on quality and production metrics (rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits, cell shutdown)

• Participate in continuous improvement activities , e.g. Lean/Cost Reduction initiatives.

• Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Business , Manufacturing or Management courses.
• Must be able to analyze and correct complex testing and/or systems issues of a broad scope using independent judgment

About The Team
The Customer Support team is comprised of more than 50 experienced support professionals with an array of technical experience from various backgrounds. We have regional offices in NA, EMEA, and APAC to provide our customers global coverage as we handle more than 12,000 support cases annually.

• You will learn about could computing and very large data sets as you handle Service Requests for Infrastructure Updates, Customer Data Requests, Configuration Changes, and Data Model Changes among other tasks
• You will work with consultants, partners, and customer technical resources to provision, setup, test, and deploy customer environments
• Follow-up with internal and external customers to ensure problems were resolved and/or recommend further action to ensure non-recurrence and customer satisfaction
• Follow-up on Change Requests to insure correct implementation as well as gather evidence
