Activ8 Solar Energies is Ireland's largest and most experienced solar PV installer, delivering innovative solar solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients since 2007.
Activ8 is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Director for our utility, commercial & industrial division. This role is based at our headquarters in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and is a permanent position with salary, bonus, company vehicle, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.
The OpportunityAs Commercial Sales Director, you will take full ownership of the division's commercial and sales performance leading strategy, business development, marketing, and customer engagement. You will play a key role in scaling our Utility, Commercial & Industrial (UCI) division. This is a senior leadership role for a results driven sales professional who combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership of teams, clients, and key relationships.
Responsibilities- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a high-impact sales and commercial strategy and process for the UCI division, aligned with Activ8's long-term vision.
- Business Development: Identify and secure new B2B opportunities across utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar markets.
- Marketing & Positioning: Work closely with marketing department to strengthen brand presence and generate qualified leads in target markets.
- Client & Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive repeat business and long-term value.
- Industry Representation: Represent Activ8 at industry events, forums, and with key external stakeholders to strengthen the company's profile and influence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations and project delivery teams to align customer propositions and ensure seamless execution.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing commercial and sales team, fostering a culture of ambition, collaboration, and delivery.
- Proven track record as a Sales Director, Commercial Director, or senior business development leader in the renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
- Deep knowledge of the Irish energy market, particularly solar PV and related technologies.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and team development.
- Strong network of contacts in the Irish commercial and industrial energy ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success in delivering significant sales growth and securing large-scale commercial deals.
- Experience leading and scaling sales teams, with excellent leadership and coaching skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at executive and Board level.
- Strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical skills.
- Resilient, entrepreneurial, and driven to succeed in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.

The Boeing global parts distribution network provides access to more than 15 million parts worldwide. We supply parts to both Boeing and non-Boeing aircraft across all aviation markets. Our hub and spoke network means parts can be sent from the locations closest to where they are needed, reducing shipping time and cost.
Boeing Global Services (BGS) team is seeking a Commercial Parts and Distribution Sales (P&DS) Director. This position will be instrumental with proactively carrying out parts and distribution sales activities to commercial customers in UK and Ireland. This is a full-time role, based at our Dublin office, with hybrid working options.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Management of assigned accounts utilizing the BGS Sales process to develop relationships, maximize customer satisfaction and increase market share on Material Sales for BGS which include Boeing Commercial Spares, Boeing Distribution Inc. (Systems & Components) and Boeing Distribution Services Inc. (Consumables & Expendables).
+ Identify opportunities within the marketplace that would facilitate the growth of sales through the marketing of existing or new product lines.
+ Pro-actively promote products and services to customers and prospects.
+ Proposal management and leading negotiations with customers.
+ Key Account Management in close cooperation with the Account Directors, Customer Service teams and Boeing Commercial Airplane Sales Directors.
+ Forecasting and meeting the sales/revenues and margins within the region.
+ Credit management of accounts in cooperation with credit control department.
+ Frequently customer visits in the territory (Ireland and UK) is required.
**Preferred Education and Experience:**
+ Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business or aviation field. However, those with extensive aviation experience but lacking BA degree may also be considered
+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and customer service in the aerospace/aircraft parts
**Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to influence customers
+ Ability to understand customer needs and priorities and shape requirements to win in the marketplace
+ Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail.
+ Proven ability to work effectively with functional and technical teams in the aircraft parts industry.
+ Knowledge of the aerospace industry, financial management and airline management
+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
+ Ability to conduct and direct research into sales and products.
+ Proficient in English
+ Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook (experience in CRM is a plus).
