Are you experienced in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning? As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will be part of highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting the operations of AWS owned data centres, and Colocation facilities . The AWS Commissioning team (ACx) understands, evaluates, defines and manages the expectations of construction quality in accordance to engineering designs to meet the customer requirements.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting vendors, contractors and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems such as:
-Medium and low voltage power systems
-Generators
-UPS
-HVAC
-Chilled Water Systems
-Building Management systems (BMS)
-Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
-Testing and balancing
-Pumps and Hydronic systems
The CxE shall provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, the CxE will continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience directly related to mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical 'gineering or relevant discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of commissioning experience.
- Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally for approximately 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advance knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
- Ability to read and edit construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.).
- Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals.

The Commissioning & SCS Teams in Transmission & Distribution Delivery department provide a highly technical commissioning service for both domestic and international clients. This involves the verification that the HV Substation equipment is in a state so that a declaration of fitness certificate may be issued to the System Controller confirming that the equipment is fit for connection to the relevant High Voltage system. The Senior Commissioning Engineer will use their experience in Commissioning High voltage projects to deliver multi discipline projects and lead the development of commissioning standards and procedures, to modern international-best-practice. The Senior Commissioning Engineer will coordinate with various teams across Transmission & Distribution Delivery to optimize the delivery of High Voltage projects. Key Responsibilities Work with design specialists to resolve recurring technical issues and provide relevant training where required as well as manage quality of pre-commissioning activities to drive a quality culture within E&MP. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain air compressors, sludge pumps, and chemical pumps of various types. Commission pneumatic systems and setting up various types of control valves and flowmeters. Capture data, using various tools, and develop dashboards for easy data analysis to follow processes for various clients. Write standard operating procedures, manuals, and training documents, and be able to train the client. Carry out quality control reviews of design documents, functional descriptions, and control philosophies. Lead kickoff meetings while on site with customers, and managers, to align the project plan and sales commitments. Verify the site layout to ensure it is compatible with as-built drawings. Prepare for commissioning activities in short durations, by reviewing the contracts, carrying out Commissioning management plan meetings, and explaining how the activities will be carried out. Preparing essential documentation such as commissioning protocols, checklists, ISO sheets, etc. Able to work independently and follow instructions and provide updates, feedback to the direct manager in a timely manner. Skills required for the role: Bachelor's degree in chemical, industrial engineering or equivalent; Master's degree in water treatment or equivalent experience is an asset; Minimum of 2 years of field or applied research laboratory experience in chemical process; Good understanding of water treatment and wastewater treatment processes such as MBR, MBBR, Actiflo, Filters, and pretreatment, for various applications such as municipal, industrial, and mine treatment facilities; Proficient with PLC and SCADA systems; Worksite experience: has good practical knowledge in electricity, mechanics, hydraulics and control or likes to develop it; Language spoken: English, oral and written, Training and experience in working at height, and in confined spaces using permit and LOTO systems. Responsibilities Support commissioning to meet the requirements of the Data Center. Work with Design, construction and commissioning teams. Prepare Commissioning Specifications, design and construction phase commissioning plans. Attending commissioning meetings. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget Qualifications Electrical or mechanical degree (preferred) Previous experience of Data Centre commissioning is essential. As an Engineer, you will be have the opportunity to work on various stages of projects from concept to detailed design on projects largely within the pharmaceutical and data centre spaces. Responsibilities Work as part of a multidiscipline team on both large and small projects Design of Electrical systems and services for Pharma and Mission Critical Facilities Provide technical support to Senior Electrical Engineers Implementing Quality standards Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings Participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations Qualifications Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit would be an advantage, but not essential 5+ years of formal experience in heavy industrial engineering design Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This include (but is not limited to) MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are required to provide costs effective solutions for our clients Good verbal and written communication skills required Self-starter and can take initiative with assigned tasks and objectives Professional approach and demeanor A strong ethical approach to safety, quality and environmental protection Why PM Group?
