This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours, working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. This role is fully remote, and we're looking for someone who is confident and experienced in working effectively in a remote environment.
**Your Responsibilities:**
+ **Orchestrate delivery excellence** - Design and lead governance frameworks that balance agility, compliance, and enterprise IT standards.
+ **Maximise business value** - Partner with Legal & Compliance leaders to map, optimise, and continuously improve business value streams.
+ **Coach and enable** - Champion agile ways of working, coaching teams, executives, and vendors to adopt new practices with confidence.
+ **Govern vendor performance** - Onboard and align external partners with delivery frameworks, ensuring accountability and measurable results.
+ **Measure what matters** - Define and track KPIs, build actionable dashboards, and use insights to drive better decisions and outcomes.
+ **Lead continuous improvement** - Facilitate retrospectives, embed lessons learned, and refine methodologies to deliver consistently better results.
**About You:**
You're a strategic IT delivery leader with a track record of driving transformation in large, matrixed organisations. You know how to balance governance with agility, compliance with innovation, and structure with flexibility.
+ 10+ years in IT delivery, program management, or agile transformation
+ Deep knowledge of SDLC, agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), and enterprise delivery models
+ Experienced in working with executive stakeholders and facilitating complex governance forums.
+ Proven success managing vendors and global delivery partners.
+ Exceptional communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
+ A passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer success

**Abbott Ireland Nutrition Division Cootehill Cavan**
Abbott Nutrition produces a range of infant formulae in all pack sizes under the brand name "Similac". To complement the range of "Similac" infant formulae, the facility also manufactures a range of follow-on formulae under the brand name of "Gain". The essential ingredient is liquid skim-milk and this is combined with carbohydrate, vegetable oils, vitamins and minerals. The product is blended, pasteurised, dried and packaged at the site and once packaged, is distributed to Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Canada.
Established in 1975, Abbott Nutrition in Ireland is the largest powder manufacturing facility for the production of infant formulae within the Abbott Corporation worldwide. Approximately 1,000 dairy farms in Ireland and Northern Ireland supply quality milk to the Cootehill facility which processes 500,000 litres per day. This secure supply together with Ireland's reputation as a green, clean environment is of significant strategic importance to Abbott Nutrition.
**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
+ This role will provide leadership in the areas of Plant Compliance, Strategic Compliance initiatives, cGMP and Food Safety within Manufacturing. This will include a responsibility in providing direction for continuous improvement.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant.
+ Report any current or potential hazards to your manager immediately.
+ Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) at all times. Consult the appropriate SOP where required.
+ Play an active role in the Food Safety Management Team with responsibility for the HACCP Programme
+ Responsibility for reviewing all SOP's for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure he/she fully understands and adheres to the SOP.
+ Lead strategic quality initiatives in the areas Compliance and other specific areas.
+ Key role in implementation and management of the audit readiness in Manufacturing
+ Develop, identify, analyse, manage and communicate compliance matrices
+ Ensuring Compliance to all Regulations/Legislation applicable to Manufacturing.
+ Develop and deliver training with regard to compliance based on business needs.
+ Play a key role in the Plant Compliance to ensure all new equipment/processes and any new infrastructure meets cGMP standards and regulatory compliance.
+ Manage the Manufacturing Department Janitorial requirements and staff.
+ Ensure compliance to all Corporate and Division Policies in the area of responsibility.
+ Benchmark activities to ensure current cGMP is consistent with Infant Formulae Nutritional Industry.
+ Responsible for auditing of the Manufacturing Department
+ Participate as a lead auditor within the plant in internal audit schedule, plant walk-downs and external audits.
+ Manage and co-ordinate bi-weekly compliance walk-down programme activities.
+ Play a key role in ensuring the plant is audit ready for CRQS, Division and regulatory audits.
+ Responsible for the oversight of the plant sanitation programme and liaising with third party cleaning contractor who have responsibility for cleaning, sanitization, Environmental Monitoring Programme and pest control.
+ Accountable for compliance to all local and US federal regulations, all applicable food safety policies and procedures.
+ Responsible for reporting of the site sanitation programme performance at monthly management review and through management activities.
+ This Job function will change where update procedures to GMP, EHS, Technical / New Equipment, Quality Procedures & SOP's are made.

**EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES**
+ A Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Chemistry/Quality or a Third level qualification in a related discipline.
+ Very good understanding of the manufacturing process.
+ Strong knowledge and experience in auditing, analytical techniques and methods used.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and management skills.
+ Ability to: communicate with all levels of the organization, communicate effectively with cross-functional team.
+ This function will have responsibility to ensure that Compliance is managed effectively and will provide leadership in the areas of Manufacturing Compliance, Strategic Compliance initiatives, cGMP and Food Safety.

A Compliance Specialist takes care of regulatory aspects of all international shipments. They make sure physical deliveries happen on schedule and compliantly. They apply applicable trade compliance rules regulations and policies to manage compliant import/export operations around the world. They manage the logistics and transportation of vendor deliveries. They work with international governmental organizations to ensure imported equipment arrives smoothly.
**Responsibilities**
Pre-shipment research of trade and regulatory requirements for international shipments work with 3rd party vendors.
Check shipping documentation country research. Conducts audits on shipping documents and documentation provided by external partners to ensure compliance on all FCPA and Anti Bribery requirements communicates with brokers and other external parties.
Work closely with cross-functional team members including Legal and Tax to ensure imports/exports take place in a compliant manner.
Assist global team members to ensure timely clearance instructions are provided to customs brokers and problem shipments are addressed.
Help process the Move Order Requests (MORs) which are placed from various warehouses across a number of locations - both client and non-client sites
Review and ensure that all commercial documents in connection with the MORs are in place and compliant with shipping practices.
Review and approve commercial invoices
Approve all Trade documents CI (Commercial Invoices) PL (Packing Lists) and AWB(Airway Bills) in 24 business hours
Approve all Dangerous Goods shipments within 24 business hours
Manage Order Form entry via internal systems.
Support all Tax and Customs audits in alignment with Legal Regional Team
Work with Client Trade Compliance team and Third-Party Logistics Service Providers (aka 3PLs) to make sure that all international shipments comply with export & import regulations
Complete Due Diligence on all external parties in alignment with Legal requirements
Monitor and manage all PII and Denied Party Screening requests
Maintain brokerage performance reports
Coordinate and resolve or escalate where required inbound international shipments held at customs
Carry out emerging markets research to determine shipping and compliance regulations in new locations.
