What you will do
  • Preparing and reviewing customer global regulatory reports, including AIFMD, Form PF, CPOPQR, MiFID II
  • Onboarding new customers to the AQMetrics platform, including data mapping, data onboarding and product training
  • Mapping of customer data sources to the AQMetrics data interface
  • Assisting in the development of documentation, specifications and enhancements for the AQMetrics risk and regulatory platform
  • Monitoring ongoing changes to existing and emerging regulatory requirements, constantly improving our regulatory reporting knowledge base
  • Ensuring an efficient, streamlined, high quality filing process for AQMetrics customers
  • Providing exceptional service to our customers by responding to queries in a professional manner
  • Working closely with our product engineering team to provide customer feedback on the AQMetrics solution to ensure our product continues to be enhanced
What you will bring
  • Experience working with complex data feeds and creating transformation logic to ensure these data feeds are suitable for the AQMetrics systems.

What does the Software Engineer role involve?

The key function of this role is the design and development of new diagnostic platforms and the continuous improvement of existing platforms, including systems to support Randox internal departments. This is an extremely varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset, including:

Summary:

Act as Full Stack engineer responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of the CRPM modules and components, as part of an agile scrum team. Provide troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions critical to system operation
  • Collaborate with engineering team to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems
  • Direct problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues
  • Provide informed guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews
  • Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product
  • Provide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementations
  • Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Plan and coordinate cross-team activities to complete assignments

Qualifications:

Recommended Education:

  • B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.

Key skills and prior experience:

  • Experience of 3-5 years developing event driven architectures, financial services a plus
  • Experience in cloud native development using Java, Spring, Angular or React
  • Experience in developing observable, operable cloud native software that horizontally scales
  • Experience with relational databases (RDBMS)
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities involving multi-tiered, high-performance database applications
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop software solutions to business and technical problems of high complexity
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology
  • Employees are expected to work from the office 2 - 3 days a week.

The Software Engineer will work with a team supporting IT & Innovations activities across the Group. This position is responsible for the development, support and integration of database modules, mobile applications, and other IT projects. This role will implement the IT & Innovations Strategy in line with the Company Values, Strategy & Operational goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and program new database modules and mobile applications to meet the needs of the business.
  • Work closely with all areas of the Group to identify areas where systems improvements can be made and implemented.
  • Program solutions that can be integrated into the current company databases.
  • Provide systems support to staff, both office based and remote.
  • Program solutions that can be integrated into the current company databases.
  • Identify and champion new technology or systems to improve Group systems and processes.
  • Talk staff through actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Maintain procedural documentation and reports.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, SQL.
  • Knowledge with coding and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of IT systems integration.
  • Knowledge of mobile application or web app development.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload
  • Flexible, adaptable and can-do attitude to work.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Written and Verbal .
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Level 7 or above QQI qualification in a related IT field.
  • Range of IT courses at Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and/or Masters level.
  • Knowledge of coding languages, preferably Visual Basic and/or PowerFx.
  • Understanding or experience of UI/UX design.
