Role Description

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to focus on preconstruction design and earlystage project development, while collaborating closely with project teams and clients.
As a PreConstruction Engineer, you will be responsible for developing conceptual, feasibility, and detailed preconstruction designs of water treatment systems. You will work across multiple sectors, supporting the technical design, project planning, and bid preparation phases, ensuring that projects are constructible, efficient, and aligned with client requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop preconstruction designs and conceptual layouts for water treatment systems, including data centres, medical water systems, municipal, industrial, pharma, and water reuse/recycling systems.
- Perform technical evaluations, modelling, and feasibility studies for water treatment plant options and payback assessments.
- Apply technical knowledge of water treatment technologies such as Membranes, Ion Exchange, CDI, Filtration, Chemical Dosing Systems, and UV.
- Coordinate and adjust the work effort within the project team to ensure preconstruction deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Support bid preparation, technical proposals, and earlystage engineering documentation.
- Provide technical input to project teams during the transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Compile pre and postproject documentation to a high standard.
- Assist with business development activities by providing technical expertise during client presentations and tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities
Tender Design Review & Technical Scope Analysis
- Review Electrical tender documentation for large-scale projects ensuring technical clarity and scope completeness.
