Your new role Reporting to the Head of EU Tax, you will join a team of 9 overall, with 3 of those sitting in the Dublin office on a hybrid basis. Your role will cover tax compliance and strategy across different EU jurisdictions, focusing on corporate tax and global mobility. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Manage corporate tax compliance in conjunction with external advisors for 10 European entities, ensuring timely and accurate provisions and submissions Assist with transfer pricing, R&D, tax audits and manage any queries from relevant authorities Support with strategic projects such as expanding into a new location for example Provide sound advice on matters such as corporate residency, permanent establishments or queries from the board Monitor and maintain robust control frameworks for all things corporate and people tax-related Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls, particularly keeping abreast on any new technologies Stay up to date on any legislative changes across the EU, advising on impacts and leading implementation of any changes that are required Monitor employee mobility/travel and assess corporate tax, payroll and social security implications as required, liaising with Global Payroll and US Corporate Tax teams as required Partner with HR, Global Payroll and Global Mobility teams on various matters including employment tax returns, contractors (IR35), UK PSA calculations, and expatriates matters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Tax Compliance Manager to join our Deloitte Private tax team in the Cork office. About the team Our Private Clients Tax department is the largest and fastest growing private client team in Ireland. This multidisciplinary team advises private companies, their owners and high net worth individuals on a wide range of commercial and tax issues including asset holding structures, personal taxation, shareholder issues, succession and estate planning and buy/sell side tax advisory. About the role: Experienced personal tax compliance manager working within the Private Client team. Strong technical personal tax compliance knowledge and attention to detail. Manage receipt of client information and trainee work to meet monthly tax return targets. Responsible for reviewing trainee work and issuing personal tax returns for mainly domestic clients from a varied portfolio. Ability to positively support junior staff in preparing income tax returns, capital gains tax and undertaking research for same. Identify client tax compliance complications and opportunities for other work with clients. Experience with high net worth and estate cases beneficial. Understanding of GDPR and management of client risk. Assist in the management of budgeting and billings for allocated clients. Support provided by a large team of experienced staff and research facilities. Flexibility on location. About you: Qualified tax professional with relevant PQE Strong personal tax compliance technical knowledge with previous experience of managing compliance deadlines. Experience of working as part of a private client team would be an advantage. Experience in dealing with the income tax compliance aspects of offshore funds, trusts, High Income Earner Restriction and Estates would be beneficial. An ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and comprehensive way. Excellent client management and communication skills. The Role: As Tax Director, youll play a central role in shaping the future of our tax offering. Working directly with partners and key clients, youll lead complex advisory engagements while maintaining oversight of high-quality compliance work across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Advisory (50%):Lead on restructuring, succession planning, transaction support, and other strategic tax planning projects for SMEs and corporate clients. Compliance Oversight (50%):Manage the delivery of tax compliance work, ensuring high standards and efficient processes across the team. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to business owners, finance directors and stakeholders. Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing tax team. Drive business development initiatives, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the firms strategic growth. Monitor legislative changes and ensure clients receive proactive, up-to-date advice. About You: CTA qualified (or equivalent), with 8+ years' experience in practice. Proven experience managing both advisory and compliance projects. Excellent client relationship skills with a strong commercial awareness. Experience leading teams and developing junior talent.
