Site Operations Department
The Site Operations Department is responsible for the overall health of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and performance of all data modules in our data centers. The team is staffed 24 x 7 onsite with Critical Facilities Technicians (CFTs) working on shift. This team is the face of Vantage to our customers and the guarantee of business continuity and excellence of Operations of our campus as well as the performance of our customer installations. Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and track maintenance activities, the Site Operations department is responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance. Our culture expects and rewards team performance that engages directly with the customers and the facility infrastructure.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Critical Facilities Technician who knows what best-in-class service looks like and can make that a reality. This role is an important member of our facilities team where we manage some of the most efficient and cost-effective data center facilities in the industry.
The successful candidate for this role will work with a team of other electrical and mechanical-focused engineers performing maintenance and repair for our data center infrastructure. We take our customer requirements for uptime seriously and keep our facilities maintained to a very high standard to insure uninterrupted service for our customers.
If you enjoy working on critical data center systems (UPSs, PDUs, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment, and Building Controls), as well as industrial electrical equipment and systems that include power distribution components/wiring, electronic components, and lighting systems.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure the completion of the maintenance activities to the highest quality level of planification, preparation, execution, and reporting
- Ensure the full reliability of the infrastructures with the focus on continuity of services, energy efficiency, and budgetary constraints
- Use the BMS (Backup Management System) and all available systems and do regular walkthroughs to keep up to date at all times the appropriate monitoring on site
Job Requirements
- Technical training (advanced technician or engineer level) in one of the following fields: electricity (electric generators, UPS, low-voltage distribution), air conditioning, fire and physical safety and security (access control, video and anti-intrusion systems) or centralized building management systems
- Data Center experience, ideally in data center operations or similar mission-critical environments preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge in operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and testing critical electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and building management/automation equipment
- Supervision of Level II, III, and IV maintenance works on the site infrastructure
- Proven skills in the use of software, such as BMS, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and MS Project
- Candidates must possess reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts, or emergencies

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Technician located primarily in Dublin. With our primary warehouse located in Dublin 24, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing regular equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues, conducting preventive maintenance, cleaning units, refreshing and installing vinyl wraps and installing units on-site in all weather conditions. While located primarily in the greater Dublin area, we have customers throughout Ireland & you will have to travel around the country regularly.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, customer driven, be able to work independently and off their own initiative, be tool-savvy, able to manage multiple facets of warehouse and maintenance operations simultaneously and be able to present themselves and the company well when meeting with our customers. You will need to be a skilled multitasker. As an area technician you must perform your daily assigned tasks, achieve regular inventory accuracy, track spare parts and track our inventory. You will be a team player, willing to assist your Team Members and ensure Customer Satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair tasks with excellent problem-solving skills
