**Role Overview**
As part of Data Solutions delivery pillar in EMEA, this position requires working on building, maintaining, and evolving enterprise data platform and plays a critical role in designing and constructing the underlying structure that organizes and represents the data within the platform. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. The role ensures that the data is accurately captured, stored, and accessed according to the platform's objectives and business needs. They also implement data modeling best practices, such as normalization and denormalization, to optimize data integrity, performance, and scalability. Additionally, this role works closely with data engineers and architects to integrate the models into the overall platform architecture, facilitating efficient data processing and analysis. Their contributions are fundamental in shaping the foundation of the data platform, enabling effective data management and decision-making across the organization.
They will, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary delivery team, be responsible for the development, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of critical data driven solutions in production.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, document, and translate data requirements, business rules, and objectives for the data platform.
+ Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that accurately represent the organization's data assets while aligning with business needs.
+ Lead the design and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Model, ensuring effective and secure data storage solutions.
+ Implement data modeling best practices, including normalization, denormalization, indexing, and recovery strategies to enhance data integrity, performance, and scalability.
+ Analyze current databases and data systems to identify new solutions that increase efficiency and performance while driving insightful data analytics.
+ Work closely with data engineers and developers, bridging the gap between business analysis and technical solutions.
+ Drive architectural designs for integration and migration methods, facilitating the seamless flow of data across applications.
+ Design and implement effective database solutions for storing and retrieving company data, ensuring compliance with enterprise data standards and governance.
+ Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage technologies and database management systems based on project requirements and constraints.
+ Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
+ Collaborate with data analysts to ensure that models support effective data analysis and reporting capabilities.
+ Educate staff members through training and individualized support, fostering an understanding of database principles and solutions within the team.
+ Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to present and explain data models, design decisions, and recommendations.
+ Analyze and document business processes, system architecture, and business/functional requirements to drive improvements.
**Knowledge & Skills:**
+ A proven 7+ years of experience in data modeling and data architecture roles, specifically within data and analytics environments.
+ Strong hands on understanding of key data modeling concepts and patterns, such as Inmon, and Kimball methodologies.
+ In-depth knowledge of database structure principles, system requirements analysis, and data mining/segmentation techniques.
+ Expertise in SQL, Oracle, and database tuning, with familiarity in data visualization tools.
+ Proven analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude and strong organizational abilities.
+ Experience working across multiple business processes, systems, and platforms, with a strong background in the Financial Services Domain.
+ Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architect or similar tools for UML modeling is advantageous.
+ Experience with data modeling solutions deployment automation is a plus
