**Responsibilities**
+ Complete tasks to specified standards
+ Fully aware of sources for technical and procedural guidance
+ Perform Hands and Eyes support after taking instruction from support groups including:
+ Physical reboots of device
+ Checking for hardware failure lights
+ Checking for console error messages
+ Assist in resolution of physical network faults and hardware problems
+ Place tape or CD media into device to precede a recovery of a server
+ Amber light sweeps
+ Maintaining Asset inventory
+ Load/unload tapes within agreed Service Level Agreements and adhoc requests.
+ Maintain all relevant logs including to log calls and length of time taken to resolve
+ Responds to problems quickly and efficiently using approved procedures
+ Assist to cover your colleague's annual leave and other absences, including some out of hours on call.
+ Respond to any ad-hoc, low level skill, Hands and Eyes task which is scripted/documented/in writing, whilst on the telephone to the person in the team who is assisting
+ Alerts the Manager to actual/potential Service problems.
+ Assist with media changes as required
+ Completes ad hoc activities at Team Leaders/Manager's request
+ Host Customer Engineers/3rd Party Visitors into the machine halls, assist with liaison with support teams as required
+ Conforms to department and procedures and current SLAs/DOUs
+ Refers to the Manager for procedural guidance
+ Any other duties reasonably requested by the Company
+ Travel to site during on call shift must be completed within the hour.
+ Cabinet cleaning as and when requested.

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
+ React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
+ Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
+ Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
+ Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities.
+ Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
+ Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
+ Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
+ Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
+ Must be able to Meet the physical requirements of this role.
+ To effectively present information to an internal department, client, management and/or colleagues.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Our Controls Design Engineers:
- Are controls subject matter experts (SMEs) with their knowledge of building operations, electrical generation and distribution equipment (i.e. generators, UPS etc.), mechanical plant and strategies (i.e. AHUs, chillers etc.), BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, industrial HVAC, electrical line-ups, one-line diagrams, and complex environmental and electrical concepts
- Create, maintain, and disseminate project specific scope of work (SOW) documents, specifications and engineering drawings as well as global design standards
- Operate in high security critical environments while maximizing productivity
- Innovate to develop new solutions to support both team and company goals and initiatives
- Interpret and develop a combination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings
- Are a central point of contact as technical subject matter experts for multiple internal and external groups regarding mechanical and electrical controls standards.
- Manage and prioritize requests for information on new construction builds, existing site facilities support and legacy site enhancement projects

As part of the EMEA controls design team, you will work with highly motivated experts and innovators in the data center industry. Basic Qualifications
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.
- Demonstrated leadership in IT technology and MEP/ ACS design engineering focused environments to deliver results.
- Experience driving large-scale enterprise data center projects.

- Create, maintain, and disseminate project specific scope of work (SOW) documents, specifications and engineering drawings as well as global design standards

Basic Qualifications
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.
- Demonstrated leadership in IT technology and MEP/ ACS design engineering focused environments to deliver results.

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
+ React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
+ Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
+ Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.

Job Details: Our client is looking for a looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Data Centre Operations Engineer to support both day-to-day operational activities in a live data centre environment and the buildout of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role combines physical infrastructure work with practical support in a dynamic, regulated setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with networking hardware, structured cabling, and BIOS-level server support, while also contributing to project-based deployments in a construction-phase facility. Previous experience in BIOS configuration and data centre hardware deployment, as well as involvement in new builds or construction-related IT setups, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Perform daily hands-on support in the existing data centre, including server racking, cabling, hardware checks, and basic diagnostics (BIOS-level if required). Support the physical deployment of network and infrastructure components at the new site and 4 IDF/VDER areas. Install, configure, and troubleshoot network switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling systems (including patch panels, cable management, and rack layouts). Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors/vendors during installation and commissioning phases. Execute BIOS-level configuration or troubleshooting on servers and infrastructure hardware during setup and validation. Support network segmentation, VLAN setup, and port mapping under direction from network architects.
