This role is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most cutting edge data centers in the world. Amazon data centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face of Cloud technology in the region.
A Data Center Technician will work as part of the Operations team whose primary responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. The candidate may be the primary point of contact for both internal customers (for example: Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Database Engineers, Technical Operations) and external customers (Hardware Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers among others). The position is full time and shift based, operating on a 24*7 rotation. The ideal candidate is someone with hands-on hardware experience.
Responsibilities:
· Work and meet SLA's against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow
· First line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues
· Perform regular server hardware repairs(drives, motherboards etc)
· Carry out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs
· Work with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work
· Engage with Smart Hands in EU Regional POPs
· Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center
· Participate in Data Center power & cooling events
· Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement
· Identify and help create documentation for use globally
· Identify and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment
· Perform server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required
· Interact with third party vendors & contractors
· Contribute to the development of other team members

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
+ React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
+ Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Basic Qualifications
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.

Basic Qualifications
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.
- Demonstrated leadership in IT technology and MEP/ ACS design engineering focused environments to deliver results.
- Experience driving large-scale enterprise data center projects.
- Fundamental understanding of Data Center IT Infrastructure
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related engineering degree
- Experience with the use and programming of software in building management systems (Schneider, Siemens, Tridium, Trend preferred).
- Experience with the use and programming of electrical power monitoring systems (Schneider, Eaton preferred).
- Knowledge of Data Center Facilities Infrastructure and operation (PDU, UPS, Generators, etc.)
- Proficiency in computer applications such as SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
+ React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
+ Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
+ Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
+ Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities.
+ Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
+ Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
+ Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

**What You'll Need:**
+ Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays

Job Details: Our client is looking for a looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Data Centre Operations Engineer to support both day-to-day operational activities in a live data centre environment and the buildout of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role combines physical infrastructure work with practical support in a dynamic, regulated setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with networking hardware, structured cabling, and BIOS-level server support, while also contributing to project-based deployments in a construction-phase facility. Previous experience in BIOS configuration and data centre hardware deployment, as well as involvement in new builds or construction-related IT setups, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Perform daily hands-on support in the existing data centre, including server racking, cabling, hardware checks, and basic diagnostics (BIOS-level if required). Support the physical deployment of network and infrastructure components at the new site and 4 IDF/VDER areas. Install, configure, and troubleshoot network switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling systems (including patch panels, cable management, and rack layouts). Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors/vendors during installation and commissioning phases. Execute BIOS-level configuration or troubleshooting on servers and infrastructure hardware during setup and validation. Support network segmentation, VLAN setup, and port mapping under direction from network architects. Document installation, cabling layouts, and network diagrams to support ongoing operations and validation. Ensure GMP compliance and collaborate with project, validation, and IS teams.
