· Work and meet SLA's against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow

**Responsibilities**
+ Complete tasks to specified standards
+ Fully aware of sources for technical and procedural guidance
+ Perform Hands and Eyes support after taking instruction from support groups including:
+ Physical reboots of device
+ Checking for hardware failure lights
+ Checking for console error messages
+ Assist in resolution of physical network faults and hardware problems
+ Place tape or CD media into device to precede a recovery of a server
+ Amber light sweeps
+ Maintaining Asset inventory
+ Load/unload tapes within agreed Service Level Agreements and adhoc requests.
+ Maintain all relevant logs including to log calls and length of time taken to resolve
+ Responds to problems quickly and efficiently using approved procedures
+ Assist to cover your colleague's annual leave and other absences, including some out of hours on call.
+ Respond to any ad-hoc, low level skill, Hands and Eyes task which is scripted/documented/in writing, whilst on the telephone to the person in the team who is assisting

+ Assist with media changes as required

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
+ Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
+ React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
+ Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
+ Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
+ Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.

+ Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.

+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

**What You'll Need:**

Key job responsibilities
Our Controls Design Engineers:
- Are controls subject matter experts (SMEs) with their knowledge of building operations, electrical generation and distribution equipment (i.e. generators, UPS etc.), mechanical plant and strategies (i.e. AHUs, chillers etc.), BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, industrial HVAC, electrical line-ups, one-line diagrams, and complex environmental and electrical concepts
- Create, maintain, and disseminate project specific scope of work (SOW) documents, specifications and engineering drawings as well as global design standards
- Operate in high security critical environments while maximizing productivity
- Innovate to develop new solutions to support both team and company goals and initiatives
- Interpret and develop a combination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings
- Are a central point of contact as technical subject matter experts for multiple internal and external groups regarding mechanical and electrical controls standards.
- Manage and prioritize requests for information on new construction builds, existing site facilities support and legacy site enhancement projects
- Ensure systems are deployed and commissioned to our documented standards
- Strive for frugality through budgetary review and approval with a strong customer focus and ability to interpret customer needs
- Are technical subject matter experts in mechanical and/or electrical controls
- Anticipate roadblocks and risks while providing escalation management
- Work quickly and autonomously to deep dive and resolve unexpected challenges
- Effectively manage external consultants' performance ensuring high quality delivery
- Review vendor bid packages and make selection recommendations
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously

Basic Qualifications
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.
- Demonstrated leadership in IT technology and MEP/ ACS design engineering focused environments to deliver results.
