We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of our enterprise-wide data strategy. This pivotal role blends hands-on execution—such as building processes, cleansing data, and structuring governance frameworks—with strategic leadership, including defining long-term data priorities and standards.

In the initial phase, the focus will be on establishing foundational processes, aligning and cleaning historical datasets, and preparing for a major ERP implementation. Over time, the role will evolve to shape enterprise-wide data governance, optimize cross-functional data usage, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This position reports directly to the Head of Corporate Development, a member of the Executive Committee, and will collaborate closely with teams across Finance, Commercial, Operations, Quality, R&D, HR, and IT.

As our Data Governance Manager – ERP Project, you will be responsible for:

Company-wide Data Governance

  • Develop and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across all functions.
  • Define data ownership models, accountability structures, and governance processes to ensure compliance and long-term adoption.

ERP Implementation (SAP S/4HANA)

  • Act as a core team member of the ERP program, responsible for data governance, cleansing, migration, and readiness.
  • Lead massive data-cleaning efforts on historical datasets and establish standards for new data capture, storage, and formatting.
  • Ensure mapping and interoperability across diverse systems and functions.

Data Strategy & Operations

  • Build and execute a data acquisition and generation strategy, including evaluation of external data sources.
  • Establish processes for collection, validation, storage, and integration across diverse data types, including:

  • Finance data (transactions, reporting, planning)

  • Commercial data (sales, marketing, customer analytics)
  • Manufacturing data (output, efficiency, yields, downtime)
  • Quality & regulatory data (QA/QC labs, compliance metrics)
  • Clinical and R&D data (trial results, formulations, pipeline metrics)
  • HR and workforce data
  • IT systems data
  • Build future-proof frameworks to support enterprise-level analytics and insights.

Cross-Functional Influence & Execution

  • Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, R&D, Quality, HR, and IT to enforce governance standards.
  • Drive cross-business adoption and accountability without direct reporting lines.
  • Support operational teams in embedding governance and quality practices into daily processes.

Education & Experience:

  • 5–10 years' experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale data governance programs or ERP-related data initiatives (ERP implementation experience (ideally SAP S/4HANA) is a plus).
  • Experience handling complex, multi-faceted data sets across multiple business domains.
  • Strong technical foundation:
