**Responsibilities**
The data scientist must combine extensive data analytical, artificial intelligence (especially machine learning) and visualization expertise, a strong scientific perspective and a focus on delivering data-driven solutions to the business. Working within a dedicated data and analytics team, s/he will have a natural interest in exploring a wide range of datasets to solve problems and build new solutions that make ICON a leading player in this space. Depending on team and project requirements at any given time, our data scientists engage in one or more of the following activities:
+ Use a combination of local and cloud tools to analyse, cleanse and transform different types of data and content for consumption by AI and machine learning models.
+ Use the most appropriate data modelling/machine learning principles and tools to design, explore and build scalable data solutions, potentially from source systems through to the presentation layer.
+ Where required, develop data and software solutions to deliver a robust and automated deployment of AI/ML services for everyday business use.
+ Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the operational challenges and goals and to then explore, design and build appropriate data solutions to meet those goals and alleviate the business challenge.
+ Collaborate with software engineers and other IT professionals to understand the capabilities and constraints around security, data governance and technology infrastructure to ensure that AI solutions are scalable, automatable, cost efficient and secure and that they comply with data policies and regulations.
+ Work to differentiate ICON from competitors by exploring and developing solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for customers.
+ Monitor and be aware of trends in technology, data sciences and business practice in the pharmaceutical industry, and provide advice and recommendations on emerging AI/ML trends and applications.
+ Work to deliver maximum customer value for minimum cost.
+ Undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**
+ Ability to translate a business problem into an analytical problem that can be solved with data and machine learning.
+ Experience in the use of machine learning, artificial neural networks, natural language processing and robotic process automation.
+ Good knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis.
+ Experience with a wide range of data storage technologies and architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, graph databases, NoSQL and clustering and experience working with structured data, semi-structured data and unstructured data.
+ Advanced skills in data wrangling, analysis and visualisation.
+ Mature software engineering skills, including primary code development, code optimisation and workflow and deployment scripting.
+ Good knowledge of cloud services, including serverless computing services and machine learning tools.
+ Degree in a relevant IT or natural sciences discipline.

Data Steward position within a high performing Data Steward (Master Data) team which supports Sanofi Waterford's growing Pharma business.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the timely update of Master Data in SAP and related partner systems while also maintaining excellent customer and stakeholder relationships.
The role works closely with all functions and in particular with Operations, Quality, Demand and Finance teams as well as global planners/other sites.
**Main responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for the creation of new material codes in all relevant systems
+ Responsible for the 'workflow' functionality in SAP to support the business with regards to the maintenance and obsoletion of material masters in all systems' Master Recipe
+ Responsible for the creation of all new master recipes in SAP
+ Responsible for the ongoing administration of an ECO request portal. Providing regular KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and reports related to the usage of the portal and provide support to end users
+ Responsible for the ECR/ECO (Electronic Change Request / Electronic Change Order) administration in SAP
+ Support the business with regards to the maintenance and obsoletion of master recipes/production versions in SAP
+ Produce monthly KPIs and reports on SAP master data Support the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Support Specialists with IDOC (Intermediate Document) master data issues as required

**What You'll Do:**
+ Build and maintain descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to optimize existing processes and uncover market opportunities for new products and services.
+ Define and analyse success and performance metrics for current and upcoming business initiatives, with a strong emphasis on A/B testing.
+ Integrate and curate data from a variety of internal and external sources to develop detailed reports, datasets, and advanced analytics that support data-driven decision-making across the business.
+ Use data visualization tools to clearly communicate insights to technical, non-technical, and senior stakeholders.
+ Break down and solve complex business challenges using quantitative and analytical approaches, identifying patterns and correlations within large, complex datasets.
**What We're Looking For:**
+ Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a data science role.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud-based big data, machine learning, and analytics technologies - preferably with Databricks.
+ Experience working with Google Tag Manager clickstream data is a strong plus.
+ Proficient in SQL, with experience handling both structured and unstructured data.
+ Strong experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in agile/scrum environments.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proven track record of identifying root causes and delivering simple, logical solutions to complex problems.
+ Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information across all levels of the organization.
+ A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
