Essential Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Relevant Third level qualification

Experience:

  • Proven experience pulling very large data sets from CRM, cleaning, segmenting and preparing large mailing lists
  • Proven Expertise controlling data /data analytics / segmentation / development of data reports/
  • Demonstrable high level of expertise and experience using Excel to drive data queries including 'Formulas', 'v look up' and 'Pivot Tables'. Expertise in Microsoft Office

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

  • Develop, implement and oversee the Group's data protection framework, policies and processes to ensure compliance with GDPR/UKGDPR and industry best practice;
  • Establish data protection governance objectives and key risk indicators that align with the Group's risk appetite and compliance requirements and report to UK and Irish Boards on risks, threats and mitigation strategies;
  • Lead and oversee cross border transfer strategies, including internal data sharing agreements and standard contractual clauses;
  • Implement systems and processes to monitor, identify and mitigate data protection risks across business units and jurisdictions;
  • Own and maintain Records of Processing Activities with responsibility for co-ordinating review cycles and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure records are accurate and up to date;
  • Deal with Subject Access Requests in Ireland and the UK, keep Privacy Notices updated and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments where required;
  • Liaise with data protection regulators, auditors and external stakeholders with regard to all data protection matters;
  • Stay informed on developments in data protection law, regulatory developments and industry trends and advise the executive team on their impact;
  • Design and implement GDPR/UKGDPR training programmes to enhance awareness and accountability at all levels of the Group;

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative professional with a strong passion for Data and AI to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Data Strategy & Governance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Data & AI initiatives. This includes advising clients on data and AI governance, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations such as the EU AI Act and data privacy laws, and developing strategic data frameworks that drive meaningful business outcomes. Market And Client Facing Responsibilities

  • Support the growth of our Data Strategy and Governance advisory services within both Private and Public Sector clients, including net new clients and new opportunities in existing accounts.
  • Identify promising prospects through networking, customer referrals, and development of Data & AI specific Go-To-Market materials and Thought Leadership.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with clients to understand their challenges and tailor appropriate offerings to address them.
  • Collaborate across local and international networks to leverage our capabilities and success stories.

We ideally need you to have most of the following on your CV:

  • 5+ years' experience in designing or implementing the vision and direction of data strategy required for large complex organisations and implementing initiatives to set them on the path of becoming a data driven organisation.
  • Practical experience in building & governing the flow of data management. Working to develop and manage data assets – including master data, transaction data and referential data. This also includes developing standards and policy on data governance and data assets to provide the foundation for data-driven culture and growth.
  • Knowledge of data management tools such as Azure Purview, Informatica, Collibra etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern data platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP or other cloud based data management products.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of Analytics or AI to create business value in organizations.
  • Understanding business processes and designing the processes and tools to digitize those processes for the entire data lifecycle (data ingestion to data consumption).
  • Implementing the future-focused data and analytics strategy for large organisations by collaborating with various business units.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing data frameworks and best practice.
  • Experience in Data Quality, Data Cataloging, Data Protection, Metadata Management, Records management and associated data related processes
  • Experience in Records Retention analysis including Legislative Gap Analysis informing the building of a (new) retention schedule with the designing and documenting of the associate procedures for implementation.
  • Experience in defining and implementing approaches to meeting regulatory requirements in the data field including CSRD or other relevant domains. This includes areas such as Data Sourcing, Collection, Transformation, Modelling and Controls
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. DAMA, ICCP)
  • Experience with data strategy initiatives in the areas of data inventories, data lineage, data quality measurement or remediation preferred.
  • Experience in leading teams or mentoring more junior colleagues in technical roles.
