A Day in the Life
As a Dermatology Medical Representative for L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) Division, you'll be at the forefront of driving the adoption and sales of our innovative dermo-cosmetic products across Ireland. Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, you'll build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including dermatologists, GPs, dermatology nurses, and pharmacists, in both primary and secondary care settings. Your role will include:
Territory Sales & Business Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive Territory Action Plan to achieve KPIs, influence product usage, and secure recommendations.
Formulary Management & Market Access: Advocate for product inclusion on formularies and navigate healthcare commissioning processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build lasting relationships, conduct impactful medical detailing sessions, and engage advocates for educational events.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on clinical advancements, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Strategic Planning & Administration: Set SMART objectives, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with reporting systems.
We Are Looking For
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
A degree-level education with a strong understanding of science and medicine.
Proven experience in medical sales, ideally within dermatology, and knowledge of the Irish healthcare environment.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and virtual platforms.
A proactive, results-oriented attitude with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

- Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product and disease expertise based on thorough understanding of rigorous scientific principles and data, including mechanism of action, indications, efficacy and safety.
- Develop & maintain business plan to support strategy.
- Coordinate with other Dermatology cross functional team members in UKIE to localise strategy & ensure optimal account success.
- Maximize budget allocated to the geographic territory assigned to support execution of strategy and tactics.
- Plan, organise, and sponsor local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Participate in industry related congresses, local, regional & international meetings as required.
- Provide key market insights and field feedback to local and cross functional team.
- Document activities in line with company reporting policy.
About You
- Experience: 5+ years of successful pharmaceutical/biologics sales experience.
- Soft and technical skills: Results oriented with a successful track record of performance across physician/customer facing and strategic roles.
- Launch experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective Communication and Change Agility skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and budget management skills.
- Understanding of HSE environment, drivers and pathways.
- Understanding of IPHA Code of Practice and its application in a business environment.
- Education: Degree level, within a life science subject (preferred but not essential).
